https://www.justtrains.net/product/n-w-italian-railway-torino-navara The real-world North-West Italian Railway Torino-Novara is part of the major route that runs from Torino to Milano. The railway is double-tracked and fully electrified using a 3KV DC system with the high-speed trains operating only on the section of the line between Torino Porta Nuova and Novara Torino Stura Station. In Train Sim Classic the Italian North-West Railway: Torino-Novara runs from Torino to Novara station and is set circa 2020. The route is around 170km long (105 miles), with most of it being electrified with double track. A major feature for the route is the Torino area, with the various stations and railway connections to the rest of the region located there. The line has 29 stations and four freight yards, including Drosso for the Fiat plant and the large Orbassano freight yard; both of these yards are not used as much as they were in the past, however, and some tracks are out of use or have even been removed.
Looks good. Just saw it on FB. The author had been posting about it on Steam, but has since deleted his post.
https://worcestergeorge.altervista.org/dlc Probably the expectation is that people would actually use this one There's decent free Italian rolling stock that should be much better than those included models.
If you made some Freeware Items would you be happy for those items to be included with Payware? I was told on FB the E464 is an AI loco. It is easier for someone who has the route to swap it with the freeware version
In the annoucement it states that there is only an emu driveable as the remainder is AI. There are however a number of freeware locos available from more than one site which is encouraging. From the JustTrains announcement Rolling stock The route comes with the highly detailed and accurate Minuetto EMU. This has Expert-style controls and its own manual to cover its operation. The Minuetto includes a feature that can create random failures and also has a specific function for dynamic destination board operation for use in scenario creation. To enhance your experience, numerous AI-only trains are included in various liveries: ETR421-ETR521-ETR621 Caravaggio (named Rock in Trenitalia service) E402A loco for both for freight and passenger operation MDVC-MDVE passenger coaches E464 loco widely used for passenger operations.
If the only Driven train will be the Minuetto, that I already own, I might wait until I see some reviews before purchasing.
Hello to everybody. I'm the creator of the route Torino-Novara and I would like to give you some explainations that comes in my mind reading some of the posts. There was a specific decision/request not to include with the route any external assets (loco or generic assets) that is not part of the base TSC software. Therefore the route includes all the needed assets created by me or part of the JustTrains Common Library, to have a playable product in one installer. This is the reason why a new EMU (Minuetto) has been developped and a list of AI train included; in this way the scenario that will come with the route can have already various traffic. I hope and I'm sure that a lot of scenario's creators will then add new ones with external rolling stock to realize even more great driving experience. The Minuetto included in the route is not the free version created years ago by AnemoneLab. This is a complete new project born with the idea to create an expert EMU with al the main procedures managed (like parking in e parking out, stopping procedure (final parking), machine switch on (manual, automatic or skipped), brake test). Additionally there are several failures eventually triggered by the scenario (for example fire, passenger alarm, suspension failure, dynamic brake failure, electric motor failure, lubrification problem). The Minuetto has dynamic destination board with sliding text also triggered by the scenario with a specific signal, or manually by the cab keyboard. The route has the SCMT placed using the plugin created by WG, and the Minuetto is using this plugin to handle the SCMT control. But for the same reasons above explained, in case a user has not this plugin installed, the Minuetto will then use a custom backup "SCMT" screen with a reduced function to only the RSC portion (Cab Signal Repetition). For the E464 with the uncorrect numbering, this was an error caused by the script already corrected and in the next days I'll ask to replace the wrong images (sometimes happen). Again, the E464 in the AI version was added only for the default scenarios that will come with the route, but for sure the WG E464 freeware version will be the one to use due to the high value of this creation. Between me and WG there was in the last years a joined work to improve the new signals (from myself) and the new SCMT version (from him) that now will exchange a lot of additional information to help the SCMT script to have all the possible data's available to predict what the loco has to do. In the next days(weeks I'll publish some info/scrshot and maybe movies in my website (www.codadeltreno.com).
This version of the Minuetto is greatly improved and further developed compared to the Minuetto released in 2011 by Anemone Lab. In reality, there is no comparison. Practically two different rolling stock.
I hope it will have a quick start option just like The Worcester e464. I really dislike complicated startups, but still want the fully featured sequrity systems.
Of course, there is! Even the same keys... It will also be possible to have two modes of train running protection: realistic (like the E464) or simplified (test mode) for easier driving.
As already told by Robix yes and in general I used whenever possible the same keyboard shortcuts and functionality of the E464 to simplify the learning curve.
That’s great Just like it should be. An option for how deep the player wants to go. Looking much forward to it.
Me as the author of the route, I never published anything on Steam. I hope was a wrongly posted announcement.... ;-)
In the same way Just Trains have not made this Italian Route they won't make a US Route. With third Party work they just publish the routes/locos.
Next week there will be the release of my developed route via Just Trains, as reported in their FB page. Here the link to the first video on their channel.
The route isn’t made by just trains it will be made by another developer and sold via just trains. Just trains stated a while back they are finished developing for TSC and focussing on TSW
So we can assume that the work they had begun with on the Highland Mainline is bound for the trash bin ?
Thank you, but you know, everything is subjective. For sure there will be somebody appreciating it and somebody unhappy. What I can tell you is that I really spent a lot of time trying to improve my old SFM route in all the aspects, and I feel also that the Minuetto EMU at the end is a nice to drive train... According the testers, also the new signals are now more stable and with a real behaviour. And the OHLE, completely new, is giving at the end a good result due also to the complexity. And last but not least, it's a route than was born to be enlarged. If the general feedback will be positive, the portion from Turin to Modane in France will be the next to be worked on,, We'll see...
You will always get someone who will moan. Just remember this golden rule when dealing with people. People are quick to complain and voice negativity. People are not quick to come and be positive and say thank you.
1-This route is autobuy for me. 2-I really love the Torino-Modane branch of Sfm. I would happily pay for an upgraded version. In general i think SFM Torino hits the “italian vibe” quite well. I’ve traveled a lot in northern italy and feel at home in SFM Torino. I made Real Drives (You can ask Andrea Luigi Gobber from the Italian train Sim community what those are) for Modane Torino and Torino Asti. And i look forward to making drives to this one.
I know your work and I really appreciated in the past that you developed the QD for my free route, and for sure I know perfectly Andrea that is also one of the FNO tester... I leave in Turin, so next time.....
An observation. From the start of the video to when the train departs it is 15 mins because the unit needs to be set up and build Air. Hopefully you do not have to do this every time? If you are taking over from another driver the train should be ready to go
This just popped up on my FB feed from JT. New release from Just Trains, next week for Train Sim Classic users. North West Italian Railway Torino-Novara is going to release on Tuesday 16th December and here's the first of a few videos designed to show the route off and also give guidance on how to manually startup the Minuetto EMU, some of the controls used while driving and some hints on the default RSC instrument, which controls the driving actions depending on signal aspects. All the product details can be found on the product page too. Link to the page below in 'Comments'. For now, why not give the video a view to help you get accustomed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBUx-o9-4Lc
There will be 3 different ways to startup it. One is rapid with one shortcut. Anyway the startup should take 3 min. Scenario was having a late departure. On Monday there should be another video specifically for Minuetto feature that will show what you are asking...
AC66 It would be nice with a SCMT tutorial video. Though i think i got the hang of it driving the E464, many users will have their first experience with Italian train protection systems via this DLC.
I've put in the Minuetto movie a short description at least how to initially setup the plugin of the SCMT, but I agreed with JT to get rid of it on these initial videos for the reason that the plugin is not coming with the route and with the Minuetto. This choice to avoid to give wrong info's or create incorrect expectations on what it is buying... Even if I'm not a full expert on the SCMT, I'll try to prepare in the early future a video to be published in my website with some hints and guideline....
