Good afternoon everyone. As my final proposal this year, today I'd like to return my attention to France! I'll focus on the iconic, emblematic Paris-Austerlitz - Bordeaux-St-Jean Line, also known as the "PO Main Line"! In particular, its Les Aubrais - Saint-Pierre-des-Corps section. Also including the Orléans & Tours external termini.
We're in the "Grand Ouest" of France, the Centre-Val de Loire region; between the Loiret, Loir-et-Cher & Indre-et-Loire departments. Inside the so-called Loire Valley.
Our itinerary begins in the iconic city of Orléans, heading southwest along the River's north bank. Following the broad floodplain, it reaches Blois, our route midpoint. A "chicane" breaks the path; then it points straight towards Tours: our final destination. Another historic city of the valley.
A fast, straight-ish route, characterized by a classic central French landscape, from wooded edge of the "Sologne" to the heart of "Touraine": small reliefs, farmland fields, groves, the great river path, many ancient towns/bridges that line/cross it... And, of course, those imposing castles & manors that make this incredible slice of France magical! Think you're ready? Will leave you breathless! This is the Ligne Paris-Bordeaux: Les Aubrais to Saint-Pierre-des-Corps!

    GENERAL FEATURES

    - 117 km(73mi) rough length (Les Aubrais-Tours max extension).

This route would pass through the DTG process, the only flaw: passenger service volume a bit low, compared to other mainlines. Still perfectly enjoyable thought!

Most scenic stretch of the route: entering Blois from southwest!

    FINAL THOUGHTS

Bring this route to TSW would be really interesting, both about its incredible history (first real French mainline in the XIX century) and places it crosses (the Loire Valley, one of the most famous places in the world). Its strengths are in line with main TSW players trend: speed, linearity & variety. Hope DTG realizes that other countries exist, outside the "big three"! This is meant as advice, rather than criticism;)!

Wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance!

    Caravatt :).

Voted France in the player survey, and it's a part of France I've been through before (and by train once from Paris to Bordeaux), so it's a oui from me.

Oui, aussi to a Loire Valley route. I'm planning on visiting the Loire Valley next year, and it would be nice to see Orléans, Tours and Amboise in game.

Here too. Seems to be heavily requested!

Visited the area this summer (coincidences). Also visited Saumur and surroundings about 10 years ago. You'll be pleasantly surprised ;)!

Oh no, it was just dark humor ;)
Kind of a place where one won't want to go.

    INTEGRATIONS

Also wanted to express my thoughts regarding a possible mastery system. Since this is an ancient French route (proposed section dates back to 1846), there's plenty of history and material available! So...

    Tier I) PO Posters
    upload_2025-12-13_16-55-34.jpeg

    upload_2025-12-13_16-55-47.jpeg

    upload_2025-12-13_16-55-59.jpeg
Original promotionals, dating back to late XIX/ first half of XX century!

Tier II) Static/AI bonuses (choose between)
    upload_2025-12-13_17-1-46.jpeg
Alstom Citadis family, Tours & Orléans street tramways.

    upload_2025-12-13_17-6-53.jpeg
SNCF 141 R 840 Mikado Heritage steam engine. Built in 1946 (Baldwin), Oil-fired furnace. Would be static display at the AAATV shops (Les Aubrais).

Hope this was helpfull! Have a great weekend :)!

Honestly, great suggestion. The way you describe the Loire Valley and the route itself really makes it feel alive.

The choice of Les Aubrais – Saint-Pierre-des-Corps is excellent: an ideal length for TSW, fast without being boring, with well-known cities and a real variety of services. I also really liked the balance between TER, long-distance passenger services and freight — it offers a lot of gameplay possibilities.

Honestly, this is exactly the kind of route I’d love to see come to TSW.
    Thanks for sharing!

this is a nice france route,
What also strikes me is that this also contains an electric locomotive that had run on the Dutch railways
The next thing is that there's a huge amount of information in full detail,
there are lots of tracks, beautiful stations,
and a good variety of trains that run on them.
There is also a good distance in kilometers from starting point to end point.

Below I give a link of my route suggestion

Well, first of all, thank you! Your thoughts always appreciated! ;) Almost forgotten... There's no real Intercity here (considering Ouigo as the "French Flixtrain"), as there used to be; currentely replaced by Rémi Express!

attuma#5254 Yes, NS 1600, 1700 & 1800 classes are French based (same as Portugal, Slovenia etc.). Glad you like my idea! (put your like, if you want ;))

Despite not ideal aerodynamics, that front face was supposed to limit lights reflections.
