There are much more complex games that do not have these issues that plague TSW. So I blame DTG for the performance problems and this games poor optimization

I don't see a reason why it shouldn't if that request comes our way

They can only a. Work with the talent pool they have and b. Within the limits of the hardware.
What more do you want? A stick of RAM with every purchase of dlc? Instead of blaming them all the time vote with your wallet….

I already did say I wasn't planning on buying this dlc. I probably would if the performance issues weren't a problem. I don't see why you are making excuses about DTG's failure to address core issues that have affected many console players for months.

If a product is being sold on current generation hardware, then it is the job of the developer/publisher to ensure that the game runs smoothly

You mean fixed the issues, they have addressed them many times. Most recently in todays Discord Q and A. But its not like its going to be a fix that only takes hours, days or weeks to come up with. It going to take months.

    We are talking months

The updates they do have not addressed the major core problems like textures. You can say that it will take months to be fixed, but that issue shouldn't have happened in the first place. This is the only game I play that has this problem

    It won't be fixed.

Not possible using cost/resources to benefits model.

They will keep stringing console users along, because they need the money from them, hoping that they can just about bridge across to the new tech/new game engine era whilst keeping all the plates spinning.

Will services be stopping at Birmingham new street on the way to Crewe? I figured they would, but I’m unsure.

The TV is the line that bypasses Birmingham entirely, just north of Rugby.

I was wondering this as well,I posted a comment about it ,the gap from Milton Keynes to roade cutting makes me curious how their going to implement drivable freight services in the timetable ,I have no problem myself if they implement alot of non driveable AI in this section

One compromise might be to put some of the freight via Weedon rather than Northampton, particularly during the less busy periods. But this issue just goes to highlight you really cannot ignore the Northampton Loop if you are doing the outer section of the southern WCML.

Thats ridiculous logic. So you buy a Ford Fiesta but you expect Ferrari performance?

It could impact their income, as I doubt many console users want to buy blurry routes!

I'm sorry but that is a bad analogy. Of course if I bought a Ford, I wouldn't expect Ferrari performance because I would know that the ford isn't gonna have the same horsepower as a Ferrari. I would expect a brand new ford to run smoothly. I expect that if a game is sold on Xbox Series X just like any other person, that the game runs smoothly like literally most games that are more intense than this. You are acting like expecting the bare minimum is somehow too high of an expectation and just keep making excuses.

I thought all WCML passed through Birmingham new street, I didn’t know they detoured on another line. Good to learn that, thanks for the info.

The WCML has always been the direct route via Trent Valley. Via Birmingham is known as “The Grand”.

Why is the line via Birmingham New Street called the grand?

I believe it's actually the "Grand Junction Railway" going back to when these railway companies were separate entities in the 1800s. The West Coast Main Line is quite a complex route (study the route map) - would have loved to have seen the Northampton loop and the section to Birmingham New Street via Coventry, but it was never likely to happen in this one release, it is already 108 miles after all. Maybe in the future we could have a separate DLC Milton Keynes to Birmingham New Street and taking in the Northampton loop - then there is the missing section between Crewe and Alderley Edge on ATS's Manchester Airport Commuter route, Crewe to Liverpool in a modern context and the final piece of the jigsaw is to how to get Stoke-on-Trent into the game, even that is complex, because WCML services avoid Stafford and go via Colwich Junction, but the New Street to Manchester Pic services do go via Stafford - so really that would have to be Milton Keynes to Manchester Pic and Stafford to Man Pic (and I haven't event started on talking about north of Preston - but to be fair, Preston is very much a driver change over location)....so many possibilities, but for now, just delighted that a full run from Euston to Crewe will be doable and only needing two pieces of DLC is a bonus...the All Aboard Studio team are definitely going places !!

Completely agree with this. Im on PS5 Pro and after an untidy start, Birmingham - Crewe is excellent now. Some very light texture issues but they sort themselves quickly.

If they do Birmingham to Northampton after Trent valley, then I suspect the 730s will appear.

If they bundle the 390 with one WCML route they'll have to do it for all the other WCML modern routes. Would seem very jarring if they included it in one route and still have the DLC purchasable for the other routes. The 390 is probably a huge cash cow too lol.

I think it worked pretty well with the 465 because it has only appeared in one route (playable).

They did not really bundle it.

It was included with one of the special editions of TSW5, a bit like the 220 this year.

No chance it is included free with other routes whilst remaining as a standalone loco dlc.

I said if they bundle it. As in integrated the train to the route like they did with the 465.

They bundled their own products together, not something made by another dev studio. The only other time that’s happened is with the 323 & that was after 2 versions were made & a third included with the game for free.

Just a random question about the route where at the North end dose it finish. I only question it because stafford milton keynes is 98 miles by road and crewe is 123. The route length is 108 miles. In the description it states bridge 2 major routes. So is it stafford or crewe ??

The add on runs from Milton Keynes to Crewe.

I've seen the route map but the part about bridge 2 routes and stafford crewe part being listed from Birmingham crewe made me wonder.

It’s just pointing out that you can technically take a train from MKC (where WCMLS ends) to Crewe (Where WCMLTV will end) onto Birmingham (where WCMLWM ends) so Trent Valley will serve as the bridge between the 2 ends.
