Introduction: I would like to suggest the addition of Denmark's most iconic trains to Train Sim World 6: the DSB IC3 (Class MF) Diesel Multiple Unit and the DSB IR4 (Class ER) Electric Multiple Unit. These trains are the backbone of Danish rail and are famous worldwide for their unique "Rubber Nose" design.

    Technical Highlights for TSW6:

    • The Folding Cab Mechanic: The most unique feature is the folding driver’s desk. When two units couple, the entire front door (including the desk) swings away to create a wide passenger walkway. This would be a fantastic showcase for the new interaction mechanics in TSW6.

    • Hybrid Operations: The IC3 and IR4 are designed to work together. In the game, players could experience "mixed-traction" coupling where a diesel IC3 and electric IR4 run in tandem—a rare and exciting gameplay opportunity.

    • Advanced Physics: The IC3 uses mechanical transmissions with multiple gear ratios, providing a unique "shifting" feel and sound that differs from standard diesel-electrics.
    Route Compatibility:

    1. New Route Suggestion: Copenhagen (København H) to Odense. This 160km route includes the spectacular Great Belt Fixed Link (bridge and tunnel), which would look incredible with the TSW6 lighting engine.

    2. Layering into Existing Routes: The IC3 is PZB-equipped for German operations. It could layer into Hauptstrecke Hamburg – Lübeck to represent the EuroCity services that ran between Germany and Copenhagen.
    Specifications:

    • Top Speed: 180 km/h (112 mph).

    • Safety Systems: Danish ATC / German PZB (for IC3).

    • Formation Designer: With the TSW6 Formation Designer, players could recreate the complex 3-unit or 5-unit sets often seen in Fredericia.
Conclusion: Adding Denmark would bring a completely new European country to the game and satisfy a huge demand from the Scandinavian community. The IC3 and IR4 are not just trains; they are engineering marvels that fit perfectly with the "SimuGraph" technology.

I think that would be great to see in TSW :D

A Lübeck - Puttgarden route in 2017 would be great also, then you could have the BR 218 layer on (as well as a BR 605 and BR 648 if those ever got made)

There's a belgian EMU that very much look like that.

Otherwise, I would say that everyone is free to think what they want regarding the aesthetic aspect... :D

I understand Denmark isn't for everyone, but the IC3/IR4 offers a unique mechanical gameplay experience (like the folding cab and mechanical transmission) that we don't currently have in TSW6. It would be a great way to expand the game's European footprint beyond the usual regions!

Yes, even though Denmark doesn't directly interest me, it's good if everyone can find something to enjoy in TSW.

Didn't you suggest the same locomotive before?

He’s suggested this train at least five times. It’s harmless enough but it is getting a bit spammy, especially as it’s only been six months since the last time.

And I have a feeling the only reason he wants it is to reskin into Israeli Railway livery as don’t they operate the same style units?

Yeah, one of the suggestions was for the Israeli version but the Danish one is much more likely to be made so not a bad plan to get close enough to the one he wants, if it ever gets made.
