    Route Length:
    ~62 km (39 miles)

    Rolling Stock Options:
Steam: A heritage loco such as a BR 64 or BR 86 + Donnerbüchse
    Diesel: BR 641 (RB 37), RS1 (RB 42)

Gameplay: Regional (Waldshut - Weizen, Aitrachtalbahn), heritage (Sauschwänzlebahn), shunting (heritage depots)

Scenery: Black Forest, Wutach River, deep valleys, dense forests, viaducts, Stockhalde Spiral Tunnel

    Licenses: DB, SWEG, Bahnbetriebe Blumberg

    Time Period: >2024

    Similar Add-ons:
    West Somerset Railway (heritage line)
Niddertalbahn (scenic German diesel branch line)
Bernina Line (spiral loops and elevation changes)

    Why this route:
This would be an unique and fairly compact German route in southern Germany, located in the state of Baden-Württemberg. It connects Waldshut-Tiengen on the High Rhine with Immendingen on the Black Forest Railway. It would feature a rare mix of both regional and heritage services, with both heritage steam and modern DMU traction.

The route can be divided into 3 sections:

The Southern Section: Lauchringen - Weizen - As of 2024, it has seen a revival of regular regional services (RB 37) between Waldshut and Weizen. This would use a BR 641.

Heritage Section/Sauschwänzlebahn: Weizen - Blumberg-Zollhaus - Operated as a museum line by Bahnbetriebe Blumber, featuring an extremely twisting route to keep gradients low. It features the only spiral tunnel in Germany, the Stockhalde-Kehrtunnel, as well as numerous viaducts.

The Northern Section/Aitrachtalbahn: Blumberg-Zollhaus - Hintschingen/Immendingen - Since 2004, it has been part of the 3er-Ringzug network, providing regular regional train services for commuters and students. This would use an RS1.

This route is in TSC and also Zusi 3. Would be nice in TSW and hopefully if TSG’s foray into steam is successful maybe one we could see from them in future.

It´s an absolute snoozefest. Especially the portion between Lauchringen and Weizen...I could easily think of 50 other German routes, I would rather want to see in TSW.
