Hi all! I am seeing quite a few player made timetables. So there must be a working method for cooking cusom made Timetables currently. After searching the forum for many hours I have concluded that as of the introduction of TSW 6 there seems to be no solid method explained for making one's timetable work. With this thread I am tring to reach out to those experienced modders on the forums who seem to be making it work. If anyone reading this knows something helpful, or can reach out to or tag someone who might be able to make a guide about it please dont stay silent. In my situation currently I have a timetable on Mittenwaldbahn, nothing fancy, no modifications to the rout ar anything, just custom made formations and services. The simulation goes through without erros, the in editor mod manager cooks it succesfully and creates a .pak file, but after inserting it into the game's folder it does not appear in any shape or form at all. Best wishes. Hopes for answers or a complete discussion for the benefit of the whole amateur community.
We think it is a Cooking issue, it say Cooking is fine but there must be some issue. only thing is to wait if DTG fix the Cooking and paking.
Not sure if this is the issue or not, but you could check if your plugin is in TrainSimWorldPCEditor\TS2Prototype\Plugins\[Mod] or TrainSimWorldPCEditor\TS2Prototype\Plugins\DLC\[Mod] If it is in Plugins you can try putting it in Plugins\DLC, cook and pack it again, and see if it works
This worked!!!! Finally!!!! So, I moved my plugin into the DLC folder for my editor e.g. TrainSimWorldPCEditor\TS2Prototype\Plugins\DLC\GWEScenarioPackJTT Then, I ensured my "TrainSimWorldPCEditor\TS2Prototype\Plugins\DLC\GWEScenarioPackJTT\Saved" folder was empty as it seems to be unable to delete these contents itself when re-cooking. Finally, I went into the mod manager, removed the Plugin from it and re-added it. I saved, then proceeded to cook. I chucked the successfully cooked pak into my "C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\TrainSimWorld6\Saved\UserContent" folder (username would be your Windows username). Booted up the game and finally it appeared!
Nothing i do works for my Bnr451_4 Wagon Repaint. In TSW5 it worked but at TSW6 it dont show up ingame. I have all done like the Tutorial for the Repaint at TSW tell. i use this: https://rail-sim.de/forum/lexicon/entry/232-repaint-tutorial-für-train-sim-world/ from the Railsim forum
I created for a Test a Servicemode Timetable with a single loco. I created a Content Manifest and i done it how Josh said. i get a .pak file but the game dont recognise it. It dont need much for this Timetable. or is it not working with all Routes? How does the Service Timetable mod need to look. I Have the Timetable and the Content Manifest.
You need a lot more than that for the timetable to work, you need route definition and some other stuff to make it work I believe.
For a Servicemode Timetable to? i done it like the DTG stream Tutorial. I dont do a Scenario just a normal Servicemode Timetable.
Ok, -Timetable -ContentManifest -RouteDefinition/ScenarioDefinition? -Formations Is this all i need? maybe we can do an official Tutorial.
