I am experiencing a visual/environment bug in Train Simulator Classic where winter textures are not displayed in Quick Drive, even when the season is set to Winter. When starting a Quick Drive with the season set to Winter, the environment loads with summer / non-winter textures — no snow on the terrain or vegetation — even though winter is selected. This makes the route look like spring or summer instead of winter.

Try a normal scenario on the same route as above set in Winter.
    Do the tracks appear snowy?

It must be related to the track textures - if there is no Winter texture you don't get snow.

It is dependent on the Track in a Route - the Snow is a Texture -
If there is no Texture for Winter you don't get snow on the track

Thanks for the explanation — that makes sense. So if I understand correctly, this route simply does not include winter texture variants for terrain/vegetation, which is why selecting Winter in Quick Drive does not visually change anything. In that case this is not really a bug in the game or in Armstrong Powerhouse, but a limitation of how the route was built and which seasonal textures were provided by the route author. That explains why winter works on some routes and not on this one.

When you create a consist you are in the Editor
Only when you Play the Scenario does it apply the Weather Conditions

Possibly reflects the default state that it picks up for editing purposes. I used to have a freeroam scenario set at night (named aaaa or similar so it appeared first in the list) and whenever I went into the editor it was nighttime. Deleting that scenario 'fixed' it - but I never followed up to really work out the reasons behind it. As Peter says - just ignore it - it only affects the editor - once you re-run that scenario then it should apply the correct weather.
