You're probably more likely to see a dancing donkey at this point. The 158 for Fife has seemingly dropped off the radar.
Sadly I think you're correct. One way or another though it would be good if somebody from DTG could confirm if it's happening or not. Maybe we'll see something in tomorrow's Road Map...even if it is a dancing donkey !
Was mentioned on the stream and now confirmed by Skyhook that the 158 Fife timetable will be in the first wave of 3rd party patches in the not too distant future.
Lol nothing ever straight forward with company. They make the player experience somewhat difficult at times and annoying.
Well you hear something but I suppose it goes without saying that the announcements don't work properly. So far all I've heard is "Welcome to the Scotrail service to (blank), calling at (blank)" followed by the "if you see something ...." diatribe. That's all said when the scenario loads, nothing else for the rest of the journey. On a service using a 170 + 158 consist I didn't hear any announcements at all. Can we have an acknowledgement of the issue by DTG and a commitment to fix it in short order please? I'm running TSW6 on PC.
I've requested a refund for the 158, no way I'm going to support the sale of shoddy work. If, and going by previous form it's a big if, the issue is fixed I might buy it again.
This memory leak issues needs fixing DTG Jamie. It affects most new routes. I can't justify spending £30 on a product for PS5 that has textures that look worse than the N64...
What on Earth did Skyhook do to the sounds? Seems nerfed compared to the original and MML versions. Please put them back to the original.
Don't know when it happened, but at some point my medals were wiped from the Class 170 services on the Edinburgh Glasgow Sprinter timetable
No reply, Skyhook? Just doing a run from G to E with the 158 and the sounds are definitely degraded from the original MML implementation.
Also what's with the timetable on Fife Circle? Having finished my G to E run in Waverley at about 1940, I went into the timetable menu looking to do a run out to Leven and there's... nothing. After 1900 it seems all we get are a couple of runs out towards Kirkcaldy and some ECS moves. I doubt the service is that sparse IRL!
I just had a quick look at the ScotRail Fife timetable and there is generally two trains an hour to and from Leven with the last departure from Edinburgh at 2305. And loads more trains on the main line to and from Dundee or the Fife Circle.
I can only assume Skyhook ran out of time to compile and test a fuller timetable. Guess we will never know the answer as they seem to have retreated to Lawn Mowing Sim!
Has anyone else got stuck trying to start a southbound 158 on the 1/70 gradient at North Queensferry in the snow? Running 2K64 I think I managed to fail a unit! Tried every start I know, hold brakes/don’t hold brakes/plenty of sand and it just failed to bite, rolling back each time. Can you ruin the transmission? There was an awful buzzing noise externally coming from the engines (I don’t know if this is part of the sim or the audio went nuts) so I tried shutting down and restarting the engines but to no avail, engine would rev then idle as it rolled back. Had to abort. Later I spawned in some tests but couldn’t recreate it entirely as even doing a normal start as on the flat (brakes off, notch 3) it just about crawled up to the flat level at the bridge, tripping out a few times even with plenty of sand going down. It’s certainly a challenge and I’m wondering should the 158 struggle like this?
