I am going to check this out. I am a console player and have a Series X, and it is not wildly priced so it will be worth a look. One thing I was trying to figure out... does it have single player timetable mode like TSW? Like you pick a service, have a schedule but also see AI trains running on their own schedules etc... I guess I will find out tonight.
No it does not have that. Its a multiplayer game. So it has nothing to do with TSW and how TSW is build.
In SP you have only tutorials and scenarios. In The MP you have 24h timetable and if you join on empty server you will get Ai trains and dispatcher.
Interesting. Now with multiplayer what happens for things like SPADs etc? Like if one player decides to go crazy will it ruin other people's run or do they get kicked or something?
And while I need to test it a bit more (PC) it looks like we got on the beta branch at least a better SP game and improvements to the save function. Really got to love those old electric locos!
Beta branch? Pfff, small fry stuff! It looks like we got the entire beta tree (along with a forest full of it's friends) on consoles. "Needs work" = massive understatement
Xbox here, so...Dozens of mp runs and single, Simrail suffers textures, gamepad mapping and lack of tutorials but... I can't drive tsw anymore after all ... suddenly it start feeling so simplistic and synthetic... Maybe br101expert saves honor, but I don't know...
Yeah, I have to agree that it's a lot more technical than TSW and probably carries a higher degree of satisfaction when you get something right. Not entirely convinced I could cope with those low-res textures + screen tearing though because it can make everything look pretty awful when they're at their worst.
PC/Steam beta version just got another small (819Mb) update, Not sure what that was for. Waiting with baited breath for it to complete so I can see if my saved game restores.
