When creating a scenario to include an asset you need to select the provider in the right flyout. Looking at my purchase list in Steam, how to know the provider? For example, Train Simulator: Union Pacific GP50 Loco Add-On
That is stating the obvious without answering the question. It does not answer how to find the DLC krausjxotv First look in the Assets/DTG or Assets/RSC folders which is where the majority of DLC will be. If not look on the Steam Webpage and it might show an alternative maker and the DLC could be in that folder
You could use the Search facility in the Assets. Click on your Assets folder and the Search box is top right. It is not foolproof but it does usually work and will give you multiples if there is more than one version in your assets.
True dat.... And here I’ve expanded out BackDatedTrainSim/Class85 to see the actual stock items... The RailWorks\Assets folder will give you some idea about Providers and Products, but the stock items themselves are usually buried deep inside sub-folders. But if you do look in the ...\RailWorks\Assets folder, and you’ll see something like this... Those are the “Providers” and not all of these will be stock (say) as this is for ALL assets (routes, scenery, weather etc. etc.). If we look inside the “AP” folder, we get... These are the “Products” and again not all of these may relate to Stock items (say) as common “Provider” files etc. are also stored here. If we look in the Class37Pack01 “Product” (AP Class 37 Pack) we get... And here the trail runs cold if you want to find the actual stock file, as the relevant engine files etc. are usually buried deep within these sub-folders (usually RailVehicles). For the present, if you’re trying to get a handle on Providers/Products and what stock is where, then I think LocoSwap might be able to help you in working out what’s what. I think you’ll need to pretend you’re going to swap a loco say, but it should show you what stock is available and where it is (its Provider/Product). You don’t need to swap anything of course, just use it to get a feel for what stock is where and which Provider/Products they’re in.
It is a fair question, because for some reason manuals that accompany products rarely tell you where to locate the assets. Especially on Dovetail's own products. I have never understood why. John
The OP is trying to find which DLC it's in (Union Pacific GP50 Loco Add-On), so they can add it to the Scenario. They need to find it first... But yeah, for a specific Scenario...we can do that...
