It would be nice to have a TFW route between Shrewsbury and Dovey Junction, then have the branch to Aberystwyth and the line to Pwllhelli. Also a TFW livery for the class 158, and a TFW 197 And to DTG reading this, i think people probably want this, ill give you some more route ideas for you to publish at £30!!!!
Good suggestion apart from… 1. The entire Cambrian from Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth and Pwllheli would be too long. Better to focus on the scenic section from Machynlleth to Pwllheli, maybe include Mac to Aberystwyth too. 2. Set it back in the 70’s when all manner of DMU’s, but mainly Class 101 Met Cams and Class 120 Cross Countrys worked the service, but with seasonal loco hauled passenger and freight handled by Class 24’s and 25’s. Quite often double headed on a Summer Saturday.
I would like this route in modern and old times, but i am probably very biased towards the modern era as i have gone up the cambrian cost up to prestatyn, its very scenic and even more so if you go in a sunny and warm month
Sadly, DTG have said that we won't get a modern day Cambrian Line in TSW because they won't be able to model ECTS. If we did get this route in TSW, I would like to see it set in the 80s/90s
Cambrian Coast doesn't go to Prestatyn, that's the North Wales Coast main line from Chester to Llandudno and Holyhead... Requested many times in Suggestions but not taken up so far by DTG or a 3P.
I memerose every starion and still get the lines mixed up how.... My mind at 3am: yeah its dovey jn, borth, prestatyn, penzance.....
To wait... very, very patiently... One day they will be able to do things that aren't feasible by now. I hope so at least !
They could easily build the route pre ECTS. Prior to that Radio Electronic Token Block was in use or go back a bit further Absolute Block with Electric Token. Either of those properly simulated would offer a new challenge and experience in TSW.
Im going to be waiting a few years as im legally not alkowed to operate a train Probably for good reason seeing as i occassionally send steam trains 50ft into the air or turning a normal commuter servive into a ryanair flight..
