There is freight but due to a bug on consoles they not 100% if this is fixed by release so that results in a lower amount. But they will fixed that in a later patch.

Some freight was removed due to performance issues, not a bug.

They also said they will try to restore them, not that it will definitely be the case.

I thought free roam means just spawning on foot and then spawning the train you want and setting a route. Then you have the full timetable around you.

Yeah, they use the term “Free roam” to mean more than one thing but there is a mode called “Free Roam” that you can select from the route menu instead of Timetable or Scenarios and it is just the empty route for you to spawn trains into.

I wonder what the point of this is, especially when you can spawn any train you want in Timetable mode.
I played TS for years on deserted routes, or at best with the same trains always appearing in the same places, so I love that TSW timetable principle (among other things).

It’s so you can spawn any suitable trains and not have anything in your way, or you could fill up a yard with wagons to shunt around. It just turns the route into a big playground but I don’t use it much. Spawning a train in amongst the timetable is better.

It's not true I spoke to Matt P himself during live stream on Matt plays TV when riveria line released and I'm not the only one had these issues also Matt of train sim society mentions the widely known bugs also

What's not true? Check the stream if you don't believe me. I'm not disputing that such issues exist and if you had previously made Matt P aware of them he didn't mention it.

afaik, the train headlights are not for you (the driver) to see the path ahead
they are for other people outside the train to see that it is coming and in which direction it is traveling (workers on the tracks or even another train)

Yes and no! That used to be the case mainly because it wasn’t possible to create powerful lighting with the commonly used incandescent bulbs. Nowadays that explanation is outdated, and trains equipped with LED lights have spotlights that work the same way as those on a car. The driver is still responsible for using them properly and not blinding the surroundings. If you look at a Vectron, for example, it has an insanely bright set of lights.
