In one of the scenarios "LOOSE CONNECTION" in the TSW 2020 East Coastway Route, starting in Eastbourne and heading toward Lewes. At Polegate (I stopped exactly on the Green marker) you are told that one of the doors is stuck open and you have run down the train and close it manually. The platform is very crowded with commuters who seem to have nowhere to go. After closing the malfunctioning door, I headed back to my cab only to find the entrance to it blocked by 2 commuters. I just could not get into the cab and had to restart the scenario. Is there any way that commuters on the platform can be moved? Sensible solutions only, please. I repeated the scenario and pulled up on a different part of the platform. Slightly overshooting the green marker and all was well. No commuter obstruction and I could enter the cab and continue on to Lewes. pH
Good suggestion, I didn't know about that short cut You could also try to open and enter another door. I don't have the ECW DLC (yet) but I know with the M7 on LIIR you can open the front door (as in the door on the front side) and climb the steps to get in. You may also be able to use another external door from the platform to get in and then an internal door to enter the cab, or use an external door from the track side.
I didn't know about the CTRL+0 either. One scenario where you have to go out and close a faulty door I was literally blocked against the fence for five minutes by the zombie apocalypse. Hilarious; where are security when you need them?
You can open any other door by clicking on it and walk through the train to the front into the driver's seat. CRTL+0 was already mentioned ;-)
We need a push people out the way element, like literally dash them out the way. I'll use this next time! My suggestion would be to close the door jump in and walk the length of the train, that's what I do, and any driver does because sometimes they forget their key!
You can also use the number '8' camera to interact with things. So if you want to uncouple a wagon from the back of the train you can hit '8' and fly back to do it. I assume you can do this with the door in the scenario too.
including poltergeisting the drivers of ai trains. especially funny if you manage to navigate the 8 cam into their cab.
In this specific scenario the game requires you to walk along the platform via a few objective markers, I assume for storytelling purposes. That can't be done through the '8 cam'.
So many answers for which Ctrl key does what, I just read three posts Ctrl, Ctrl, Ctrl, Ctrl-Alt-Delete resets the entire PC too
Ok, none of our suggestions will help then. We need a in-game tazer or something similar to get those passengers out of the way. A stick to prod them with would probably be enough. In the long term hopefully DT will make the passengers more intelligent.
The MPCs are lacking in coordination, but probably need more varying actions in their script as they’re the worst of the sim
