West Coast Main Line: Trent Valley From All Aboard Studios

Ive read between the lines and quite frankly it thats the case then its not a surprise that ATS dont want to work with you, you used your first release to have a dig at them with your easter egg, and then theres the behaviour of one of your team who decided to air his dirty washing in public and have a go at the management and accuse them of not paying their team.

Hardly allures a professional outfit does it? Nor is it conducive to good working relationships

As I said before the blame lies with DTG for allowing this to rumble on and they should have sorted this months ago in private and put controls in and have a code of professional conduct in place for ALL 3rd parties.

 

On the one hand, this message wasn't constructive, on the other hand I'm a terrible person and am curious what the easter egg is?

 

at crewe station, there is a static bus model outside the station who’s destination is Alderley Edge, a small dig at ATS who’s MAC route was originally planned to go to crewe

 

he asked me to read between the lines and that’s what I did.

theeaster egg was a rail replacement bus at Crewe stating it was going to Wilmslow.Given that yhe file name for Manchester airport commuter is Manchester to Crewe it doesn’t take a scientist to work out th meaning

 

NGL that's pretty funny.

Anyway it's possible to interpret that perfectly innocently, cause we are soon to have a WCML where it's almost possible to drive Carlisle to London aside from that gap. I'm not saying it should be interpreted perfectly innocently - as a terrible person I do enjoy this sort of drama of course (which is why I asked) but I don't follow the details enough to know if either good/bad explanation is excluded.

Sorry if this has been asked already, it's quite the long thread, but will the 805/807 have the same services on the Trent Valley or will the 805 be an additional layer (unique services) along with the 390?

 

That sounds like something that someone who is not just a forum user, but a spokesperson associated with a company or DLC would say

I’ve been in the train sim community for over 10 years, and I’ve seen this kind of thing play out over and over again during the TSC era. As soon as developers receive any kind of serious negative feedback or criticism, they start claiming that they are victims and threaten to cancel projects or completely stop being developers. As someone, who has built freeware content, I’ve always found it very odd that people who get paid for making content seem to be so thin-skinned and end their career because someone said something on a forum.

 

sadly I would like to think you are joking re the people sending nasty messages in DMs like you mention above but honestly it does not surprise me the way some people are online. Hope you are ok after experiencing it first hand candice. Can’t imagine why anyone could be nasty towards you as you appear to be nothing but friendly on here to everyone.

 

Well good to hear it is no one here and sorry for me thinking SierraOscar95 was part of AABS i just assumed he was as he was very knowledgeable and posting alot of messages i assumed he was answering queries etc. He seems like a really knowledgeable person in the sim which is always good to have.

 

I’d say people like that should be given a permanent ban right away. I find it sick and disgusting. Getting a bit heated in your opinion is understandable. I’d also go crazy over blurry textures, for example, but a death threat is completely out of proportion. And yes, I believe it happens unfortunately it’s a new trend online to use that kind of language. It’s become part of the reality now, but it’s one I find utterly bizarre, and I hope that norm gets pushed back soon.

 

I've said this before but checking yourself before pressing "Post Reply" only takes a second. Ask yourself;

1. Am I treating others as I would expect to be treated?
2. Am I being rational?
3. Whatever the goal of my complaint, is the manner in which I'm communicating that complaint more or less likely to result in a helpful response?

We all forget ourselves, we all have our moments, but sending threatening communications goes way beyond the line and can even end-up with a knock at the door from the police, even if you're using a VPN. If you can't play nicely on the internet, you shouldn't be on there.

There is a difference between being criticised and basically being told that you are not telling the truth and are spinning a yarn, that would stop me engaging on here if I was a developer.

I had an unpleasant message from someone on here some time ago, for just disagreeing with them on the forum and I'm not even any kind of developer.

 

I'm just very pleased to hear about all aboard studios not adding any trains from any other third parties when it hasn't been fully tested prior release, this is a good constructive way and you know what the developer has probably learned a lot just from having their first release.

What I would say, if developers won't say/add they could have a better response of because the class 90 or whatever train people want in future to be added to a DLC, I believe the response could be; "Class 90 hasn't been released but potential layers in the future" Or if it's a hard no I'd prefer that as a player. I'm looking forward for today's release which I'll be buying after work.

What I will mention, as a suggestion with good business incentives behind so it benefits developers and players. I believe when Trent Valley does get released, I believe that DTG and all aboard studios should collaborate together. Having that said as WCMLS & Trent valley are almost inter-connected alongside each other. I believe that extension enhancement pack with should be available in the future, with both of the routes being merged. As both companies have this as their own product. It's only fair to charge players an expansion pass with the requirement of owning both routes. This expansion pass would benefit DTG and all aboard studios to gain revenue and potential growth from having layers/DLC for the route.

So essentially players would have to buy WCMLS & Trent Valley & WCML Expansion Pass just to get more gameplay.

This would also provide more revenue for the parties involved and ultimately bringing out a huge timetable/full run for players to enjoy.

I couldn't agree more, I honestly believe it's a very constructive approach what Dan said on the 805 post going forward with new trains and yes they're completely right. We only found out about 90 late 2025 and it's not even done yet. If there's any gameplay footage then I'd understand all of the Q&A right now. However enthusiasts are just manifesting way too much in my opinion

Except in this case the devs haven't treated you or anyone else here like a pile of something you've stepped, you just totally overreacted.

 

Honestly mate, the sheer attitude and hostility from you within this forum has been on par with that of a toddler spitting their dummy out. My son, who's 6, speaks with more diligence than you have. And that's my own opinion, which I stand by.

The Devs have given you clear, concise and very reasonable explanations as to why certain actions haven't been performed. And I think they're more clued up on the ins and outs than us in here. After all, it's their profession and it's those who make our DLC's that know best. I won't repeat the points because they've very sensibly been made by Dan and Kezz.

I think you should breathe, take a step back from your keyboard for a day or two and come back. This isn't a case of you're right and everybody else is wrong. Please speak with respect to your fellow forum members or take yourself elsewhere please. Opinions are perfectly within your right, but hostility certainly isn't welcome.

 

If we resort to merging, as was done in TS, that would imply an unique huge timetable, but above all, it would be very heavy in terms of performance...
Something has to be done for sure, the opportunity is unmissable.
I feel that something more innovative should be used, like the route hopping system, but just slightly improved.

Yet AABS have chosen to attack me on here and else where for my opinion.

Anyway it’s now in the hands of my local police force due to behaviours of certain people so I will not be making any further comments.

In any case, I will buy the route (as with Birmin-Crewe I decided), the main thing is that I can buy without problems in Russia immediately after the release - I don't want more such jokes, I want to buy content for the game like everyone else, without politics and other things)
