So Huge Thx at Melanie . IT WORKED. I CAN FINALLY GIVE ABT 80% POWER ON PERFECT CONDITIONS. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. So cwf.green Maybe does it help to locate the problem. I turned off the new suspension physics like melanie recomended. And it solved the problem. I can drive with realistic power now. Ig it isnt a problem with you physics (btw i Love them now that it works) but rather the game physics applying on the suspension. So i would recomend that you and TSG/DTG can focus on that. Thx and have a nice evening/morning. Kind Regards (Thank you very very much Melanie . But can i ask how you discovered it? Just trying?)
Just to confirm, by "disable suspension physics" you mean setting the "Suspension Model" to "Standard" in the HUD & Gameplay settings page?
Trying to do the last chapter in journey mode on kassel würzburg every job i pick . Takes ages to load then just crashes. On xbox series x. Has anyone else managed to do them. Thanks
Anyone got any tips on how to do the evacuation scenario? I keep failling on the brake checks i follow every instructions and every time I get the brake section. Where test the parking braking but does fill in 10 seconds so I fail . Thanks
Also why does this loco have so much wheel slip. No matter what I do it just slips and slides no matter what the weather is . Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
Ps5. Im experiencing popping / crackling sounds on the 101 expert. They are very noticeable at speeds between 80 to 110 km/h. The problem is that once you notice them, they get annoying and affect the experience. I know this has been reported before and was hoping by now it was fixed, but apparently not. Are there plans on fixing this or not really? Also, sifa alarm is not audible from the outside view but to be honest I can live with that bug.
cwf.green are you guys planning on fixing the audio crackling on ps5 or not really? Do you know what’s causing it so at least your next expert loco doesn’t suffer from the same bug?
I don’t experience this kind of popping/crackling on other trains including regular 101. This is expert 101 issue (ps5)
There is some audio popping on pc when you drive 160 and above. And when you use headphones its very noticeable.
You need to listen closely, or just hold PZB, or the horn for example for long enough, you can hear the looping.
I finally got around to this locomotive. And I'm having trouble with the windshield fogging up. I turn on the air conditioner, and the window fogs up even more. I turn up the fan speed, but it doesn't help. What climate control settings should I choose to prevent the glass from fogging up?
Windscreen heater/defrost switch and turn heat up. Also how quick it fogs up seems really unrealistic to me.
But this is strange. I've been driving for decades, and I've always dealt with fogging windows by turning on the air conditioning. It's especially strange to see this on a hot summer day. There are still too many questions about the programmed fogging logic and how to combat it. Does fogging depend on the weather outside?
So sorry to bother again Melanie. But it got worse. I deactivated Physics today again to try and drive a bit with the BR101. I cant anymore... 25kn of power and it just straight up goes through. And i cant drive when always only beeing able to apply 25-30% power. Tried it till 200kph. The same. cwf.green And i cant refund anymore ofc. I give up. Train Sim World is officially dead for me, when someone (Not exactly you [EDIT - Jan - Language] at DTG studios and then when it finally works abt 80% [EDIT - Jan - Language]
Sorry, but I’m going to cut in here for a moment… First of all, I find your choice of words far from pleasant. The way you phrase things is simply inappropriate and adds nothing. Furthermore, I don’t really understand what your issue is… I’ve driven the 101 for hundreds, if not a few thousand, kilometers in-game, and I can’t quite reproduce the point you’re making. It’s a train with realistic proportions, and it’s clear you’re having trouble handling that. Once again, the term “expert” comes flying back like a boomerang. If you look at 99% of the trains in-game, there’s absolutely no realism when it comes to traction or the risk of slipping. So yes, I get that this suddenly feels strange, but believe me, the rest is built casually the 101 Expert is the real deal here. I think you’re not properly sensing what the train is doing and may have unrealistic expectations. This pack was created with great expertise and, as mentioned before, with input from an actual driver of this train. So I don’t know what you expect. Sorry, but it is what it is, I’m afraid. My advice: take it or leave it.
Apologies for responding so late to everything here, I've been incredibly busy working on the BR 145 Expert. I don't personally work on audio but from my understanding (slightly based on experience with the BR 145 Expert where we had to resolve some "click" issues, more on that below) some of the transitions that occurs can click if they are forced to happen too fast (for example if you are accelerating with a light loco at high power). This happens because the game engine simply doesn't have enough "frames" to smoothly ramp up/down the volume so you get square waves. Consoles run the physics on 50 fps rather than 60 fps as with PC which exacerbates this issue (if it's borderline already on PC). I'm not 100% sure but my guess would be that this is what you are encountering (sometimes it's simpler than that and the recordings aren't quite matched up so you hear the "gap" whilst the recording is looping). We had this issue on the BR 145 and had to redesign the interface between Simugraph and audio which fortunately completely removed the clicks, but that doesn't help the BR 101 of course. I can't say whether there are plans to touch the audio on the BR 101 Expert (I'll leave any such announcements for Maddy) but at least the BR 145 should be more "robust" against these sort of artifacts
He's expecting things the real one can do. Roundabout 7:20min. The ingame version, given similar circumstances, is far from able to do that without guaranteed acting up wierd. And who was that actual driver of an br 101? Maybe i know him or her.
That was Maddy, who actively contributed. I’m not going to continue this discussion any further, because as far as I’m concerned it’s a waste of time.
Hi, I am trying to complete the BR 101 Expert Training Module but am getting stuck at the Cab Car point, has anyone else been able to complete this on the PS5? Thanks Fred.
That is likely the battery not being enabled on the cab car (inside the cab on the rear left wall). The issue has been fixed but won't be public until the BR145 Expert releases unfortunately. Also, do make sure to move the reverser to "0" before removing the reverser handle or the scenario will break. This is a core bug with the game and not something we can resolve, scenarios simply ignore whether a control input component (like levers, or buttons etc) is disabled. We may be able to bypass the issue in future scenarios or potentially go back and implement such a bypass on the BR101 Expert tutorial, but I can't guarantee that.
So it would be appropiate to read my posts before. I explained everythign there. The Problem is some users have the Problems (including me) that the BR101 expert is only able to drive with a max of 15-25kn. So 20-30% power. Sometimes i cant drive at all. So pls read the Posts before and then we can countinue. And btw. No. I drove the BR101 Expert on the RE1 service. We got no Problems driving with like 60kn per axle on a good day. Btw what i said before is ofc in best weather conditions. Forget abt Rain or snow. Undrivable. 5% power and its gone again
It would be very helpful to post a video of you're driving skills. What you're claiming here is far from my experiences. Yeah its a loco with a real behaviour in terms of driving so maybe you do something wrong.
