They also didn’t provide a livestream schedule last Friday for this week, so I expect more information about both very soon. Normally they announce the livestream dates on the Friday before the new week, which didn’t happen this time. We’ll just have to wait and see. I’m assuming they’ll announce a new add‑on this week as well. What it will be is impossible to predict. It could be the GWR remaster or the BR145 Expert. Or something totally unexpected....
If memory serves me correctly, isn’t it about now they also have their “Rail Fest” event, assuming it’s happening this year?
I think that if that were the case, they would have announced it a long time ago. There’s no information about it anywhere, and all that pre‑recorded material from ambassadors shouldn’t be an issue to announce either. Normally, when there are bigger ambassador livestream days, that’s almost always communicated the week before.
Oh right, I completely forgot about that. There’s indeed a discount promotion involved. So that explains why there’s no prior announcement! Thanks for the tip!
That’s what I’m waiting for. Although I prefer my PS5 Pro as my main place to play TSW, I want to start a small collection on steam, mostly UK routes/content though. I’m hoping the discounts are substantial enough.
Alex just said over on Discord that February 10th is roadmap day. Also says there will be a wider confirmation tomorrow.
Yup that's how it seems now. Days are numbered for this forum, i fear. And i just don't like how Discord organizes everything- it's so chaotic and hard to follow one conversation imo. Plus, and this is purely personal, it's visually just ugly lol. Anyway lol
Hello - just noting that, whilst I agree with information being shared everywhere, we'll be announcing the Feb roadmap date and other comms with you all tomorrow properly, with other news and comms. It's not so much a preference for Discord, but more that I need to utilise the space for other communication, so I'm naturally more involved in that area anyway - If I see people asking for info, I'll aim to help where I see it. Apologies that's not always Forums-first. What I would say, though, is that everyone (Discord, Forums, Reddit or anywhere else that we may not be directly involved) will find out the relevant dates and info tomorrow in our planned article equally, as we've intended. Sharing the news via a message today was more to support people who happen to be asking this afternoon, but our comms tomorrow will ensure everyone gets the news equally. Similar to how we might answer certain questions on the forums, and others on the Discord - we won't jump to ensure each group (even beyond forums/Discord) gets an equal share of the information, and you might find some is more available or detailed in one space and not the other, but I hope any important factors can be shared between spaces with members helping eachother like people shared above
Well, with all due respect, that seems like a long-winded way of confirming that the forum will no longer be the place to rely on for news about TSW. That's a major shift from the past 8 years.
Definitely not true, I was hoping to confirm that - when it comes to important news, you can trust that we have a plan to share this to all spaces, including the forums, as we've always done. I just don't want to commit to us withholding information that may be relevant, including if that means leaving small comments in single communities - in my view, this will only limit how we can talk with players, even if it's just confirming a patch, mentioning that news is coming up soon, or a date for an event to keep in mind. The goal is staying as communicative as possible. In the past, I think the above has meant we've held our lips much more than I'm a fan of, and I'd rather we get into more of a habit, where possible, of sharing news when we can (and trusting that players and communities can echo this, but also not need to rely on it)
It seems to be fixed now, did a quick Class 700 Peterborough ECS returning to free roam after and it has been ticked off.
