Why don't dtg publicise these on the forum? It's not the first time and you'd have thought they'd be rather keen to do so. When does it end?
…It was announced on Discord Strat-tastic… When you say ‘when does it end’ I wasn’t sure if that referred to the end date of the sale or the lack of engagement on the forum !!
And here in lies the problem yet again. It was announced on discord. Well not everyone wants to use discord. I had a look a while back when the discord was set up and honestly it was enough to put me off using it. Full of petty squabble and people talking about anything bar the sims.
I bought it at launch because it's my local route. If AABS do finally put out a patch, and DTG finally improve the core, this can be a very good route. It's not Just Trains or Riviera excellent, but there is a lot to like, if they can solve the blurring and crashing
It's the last DLC I purchased until there is a fix or at least some kind of improvment that we can see the light at the end if the tunnel. I managed to get blurry textures right down to almost none. But I only have 4 layers active so its dead traffic wise. But scenery wise its great and a fun drive.
I have the 390, 220, TfW, 170 and 323WMR layers on with the 350 off (and all the others, railtours etc off), and that tends to be OK. As you've said, the trouble is with the 350s switched off, Crewe-Wolves is too quiet, and the stoppers from Wolves-Bham (my main incentive to buy it) are limited to just a few early/late 323s. Having to turn off the train layer that is the only one that comes directly with the route is mad... but that's the reality of it

Heheh nope not worth, still has blurry textures on quite a bit of the route ( bought myself and encountered all the problems)

These past months have had the best Xbox sales in years. I would say that for anyone who has been waiting to buy, the time is now.

Unreal sale. All five German routes that I don’t already own are on sale, including 4 older ones I’ve not seen on sale in years if at all.
Or as I term it, Rancid Transit! Only ever think about buying in a deep sale. The one redeeming feature is that being one of the oldest routes it shouldn’t suffer too many performance issues. However if you think the 801/2/5 are quiet you haven’t seen (or heard, or rather don’t hear) anything with the 1442. It’s like a hovercraft over the rails.
I bought 90% off and it makes ecml seem loud. It's so quite isn't it. Bought the 182 as well that seems better . Performance is good no blurry or stuttering.
90% off is about right! Scandalous it has never been remastered in particular the sounds. The 1442 is made worse by no opening cab windows nor can it run with the cab doors open to let a bit of extra sound in.
if they couldn't afford a remaster fair enough but they have just sorted out the sounds and lighting. Also vern peak forest on sale 80% off is it worth it do you think.
Definitely get Peak Forest. It’s a beautiful route despite not going to Derby and the wonky steam physics.
Is there any add ons for peak forest im sure read in the forum there was supposed to something for it.
The only add on proposed was the Class 104 DMU which has foundered. It is an entirely standalone route as you get the two steam locos from SoS included alongside the 4F.
Tbf to DTG the sales on Xbox have been great recently. It's been nice to see some third party stuff go on sale as well.
Horrible decisition. Not back compatible dlcs if i want to play for achievements and if i can only play on at TSW6 the dlcs not achievements. Slowly i buy all dlcs for playing in all versions of the game but not offers to old dlc versions or compatible versions. Nice Job Dovetail. [/mode ironic off]
Yeah - the lack of Achievement support on offer as only the TSW6 versions of old DLC are discounted is very disappointing. Still, thank you DTG (and Microsoft) for giving us a decent sale on XBOX.
