Just a bit of fun, I thought I'd start this thread to try and identify the closest real world example to some of the cars in TSW. Can anyone else identify any real world counterparts? I'll start:

This one looks definitely like a W124 Mercedes

At first I thought it was a Leyland National, but I think it's a Leyland Panther (Plaxton body) from the lack of roof equipment at the back?

    I think the Mercedes is a 190.

The hatchback in TVL and other routes from that period looks freelance with the vague suggestion of a mark 3 Ford Escort

Ooh I like this! I'll start with the Training Centre

    I've got what I think to be a mark 1 Audi Q7

Then I've got what I think has the front of a mark 3 Fiat Punto but the back of a mark 2?

I'm sure that all the road vehicles in TSW are generic.

I think one of the original cars on GWE, looks a bit like a BMW, was modelled from one of Matt P’s cars - I’m sure I remember that story.

I’m surprised they never modelled a 1960’s Mini Cooper or any of the more modern Mini John Coopers, since it’s the most iconic car brand in the UK after all.

It's a standard BET bus body.

British Electric Traction ran many UK bus fleets before becoming part of the National Bus Company. They had a standard single deck bus design which was built by several coach builders on several different chassis into the 1980s.

Coachbuilders included ECW, Marshall and Willowbrook and they were built on chassis including Bristol, Leyland, AEC, Bedford and Ford.

My school bus was often an ECW bodied Bristol LH or Willowbrook bodied Leyland Leopard.

Ah that makes sense, thanks for the insight! I admit I'm not all that knowledgeable about buses but the history is quite fascinating.

Good old Vauxhall! I remember the last place I lived, there was someone round the corner from me who still had an early Mk2 Cavalier resplendent in red.

I really want to know if there is an ini engine code that increases road traffic, similar to how we can increase passenger numbers.
Although i think that would lead to pure chaos.

Yes, I posted about this back when the MBTA route came out. In the US, commuter railroads often run parallel to expressways and the traffic is much too sparse in TSW, especially in rush hours.

Some of it runs above ground, but that's another story.

That's just normal in our post-2015 world, right?

Wasn't it more like a Rolls-Royce that he bought himself with the money he made from TSW ?

I know there are representations of Ford Transit vans on some UK routes as well as Mercedes Sprinter vans.
This Sprinter seen parked next to Gillingham level crossing in SEHS.
