I've taken a break from TSW, not because I'm fed up with it but just because a lot of other games have taken up my time. I'm shocked that after all this time audio settings still don't save between sessions. It's such a pain having to go in the settings every time to mute cab announcements.
A decent developer would have fixed this in a week 1 hotfix. But this is DTG, so console UI issues are very low priority issues. They always have been. The best we can hope for is that this issue isn’t carried over to TSW7. Most console UI issues persist for the whole game term. There was a UI fix recently. It fixed a problem where adverts were not showing up. They sprung to attention for that issue. Probably different people required to fix that, and that’s the excuse they would give, but it shows that they don’t really care about the player experience. It’s not losing them DLC sales directly so it doesn’t matter. It’s embarrassing.
That's why I always have to change them. These days I just mute them entirely, which I never thought I would considering how excited I was about them being in the game. It just seems like the full message being played at every station is too repetitive. On a stopper between Birmingham and Wolverhampton I don't think you should hear the whole "if you see something that doesn't look right" speech at every single station, just at the start and end of the journey.
I found that yesterday I turned off all train announcements (so as to not get them in the HST on gwe) then on a later session they turned back on again.
