After seeing how promising the Great Western Express Remaster I'd personally love to see a remaster of the long neglected Northern TransPennine route. The route itself is really nice to drive but what lets it down is the lack of AI, leaving stations like Leeds, Huddersfield and Manchester Victoria looking like ghost towns. I also think there could be more TransPennine services as on the departure boards it only shows trains between Liverpool, Scarborough and Newcastle and doesn't include trains to Hull or Middlesbrough.

Here are some of the new driveable services I'd love to see:
Hull-Liverpool Lime Street (Loco or Class 123/124)
Middlesbrough-Manchester Piccadilly/Victoria (Only as far as Stalybridge if Piccadilly) (Loco)
Huddersfield-Manchester Piccadilly (Between Huddersfield and Stalybridge) (DMU)
Wakefield Westgate-Huddersfield (Between Mirfield and Huddersfield (DMU)

Here are some of the AI services I'd also like to see:

    Leeds:
    Leeds-York via Garforth (DMU)
    Leeds-York via Harrogate (DMU)
    Leeds-Selby/Hull (DMU)
    Leeds-Knottingley via Castleford (DMU)
    Leeds-Knottingley via Wakefield (DMU)
    Leeds-Sheffield via Barnsley (DMU)
    Leeds-Sheffield via Rotherham (DMU)
    Leeds-Nottingham (DMU)
    Leeds-Lincoln Central (DMU)
    Leeds-Doncaster (DMU)
    Leeds-Manchester Victoria via Bradford (DMU)
    Leeds-Blackpool North (DMU)
    York-Blackpool North (Loco)
    Leeds-Bradford Forster Square (DMU)
    Leeds-Ilkley (DMU)
    Leeds-Skipton (DMU)
    Leeds-Morecambe (DMU/Loco)
    Leeds-Carlisle (DMU/Loco)
    Leeds-London King's Cross (HST)
    Bradford Interchange-London King's Cross (HST)
    Leeds-Aberdeen/Inverness (HST)
Cross Country services running from Aberdeen, Dundee, Glasgow Central, Edinburgh, Newcastle, York and Leeds to Bristol Temple Meads, Plymouth and Penzance (Loco)

    Huddersfield:
    Huddersfield-Sheffield (DMU)
    Huddersfield-Clayton West (DMU)
Huddersfield-Bradford Interchange (DMU) (This may not have existed though because Brighouse closed in the Beeching Axe)

    Manchester Victoria:
    Manchester Victoria-Liverpool Lime Street (DMU)
    Manchester Victoria-Blackpool North (DMU)
    Blackburn-Kirkby (DMU)
    Manchester Victoria-Southport (DMU)
    Manchester Victoria-Leeds via Bradford (DMU)
Manchester Victoria-Bury (Placeholder for Class 504)
    Oldham Loop services (DMU)
    Rochdale-Clitheroe (DMU)

Something else I'd like to see is an addon for the Class 123 and 124 as these still ran on the Huddersfield Line during this time period, especially on Hull to Liverpool services. I'd also like to see a BR Blue reskin of the Class 43 from either the Midland Mainline or Great Western Express to be used as a placeholder in Leeds for King's Cross services.

Bring it forth, DTG. Would willingly buy a Class 124 or Class 25 add on to subsidise the project.

Absolutely agree and support this! Northern Transpennine is a very good route even by 2018 standards. However it's let down by it's timetable and it desperately needs a timetable update and remaster up to TOD4. I'd happily buy a class 123/124 as loco add-ons for the upgraded timetable. However audio is a concern for me as it may be difficult to source sounds for these long since strapped trains. Are there any of these DMUs still in service on heritage railways? If not can sounds from a similar sounding trains be mixed in?

Yes to class 123/124 sets. Perhaps also class 141 pacers Huddersfield to Leeds services in original cream/teal livery.

Class 141s wouldn't work as they were not in service at the time Northern Transpennine was set in 1982. I absolutely support the addition of the class 123/124 sets.

As far as I recall, it was 1983 and that is when they were introduced, hence the suggestion.

…Liam did mention on Discord last night that this could be on his radar ! …however, he was enquiring about the suitability of the Class 150 & taking it forward 4 yrs or so !! Liam, please go back 2 yrs, give us the class 55 Deltic, the HST & throw in the Class 31. Going backwards is the way forward !

The route is set in 1982 and the class 141 was not introduced until 1984 unfortunately.

Re the Class 124's... They were fitted with 230hp Leyland Albion diesel engines same as the Class 115's out of Marylebone. Some of those have been preserved so at a pinch would serve to offer up sound samples.
