It seems like a serious oversight that a UK-based train sim game doesn't have arguably the two most famous British diesel-electric locomotives. So how come neither one is available in the game?
Gonna assume OP meant an original 70s or 80s era HST, in which case I agree that and a Deltic are serious omissions
Yes presumably OP means HST in original livery and seating (orange in first class, turquoise blue in second) and Paxman Valenta engines which are most important of all. And the Deltic, oft requested but not delivered by DTG or a 3PD.
Yes I meant the original livery. I had noticed that the GWE HST looks very similar to the 125 minus the paint job, and I had thought about referencing in the original post, but I didn't want to assume it was the same engine just because it was the same shape.
It's present ingame in several liveries, with the final Scotrail one being due sometime. But currently, while there are plenty modded liveries for its original BR and Intercity looks, when it comes to period-appropriate routes, only JT's routes in Cumbria are in the right time period, but not the right part of the country to see them.
Honestly we should be thankful it wasn’t them who made the 55, even river games would have been better for that
