WRT to Free Roam, aren't there two ways of doing it? Either by selecting the specific free roam option on the menu, or spawning on foot then placing your train. I think last time only the first option worked. TBH if DTG can’t get it working properly, just shelve the idea until they can fix the underlying code that keeps causing the glitches.
Quite ridiculous. I mean just going into Free Roam without actually doing anything should trigger as complete.
True but this seems to happen every month without fail now. It needs to work properly, not to avoid taking up support resources each time.
My support ticket about the mastery also is still unanswered normally it gets answered quickly but now nothing happens
Hey folks - let me raise this with the group, I think we've definitely not quite hit the mark with our Monthly Mastery with how we support this enough, and I apologise it ends up being more frustration than enjoyment. Let me get back to the group, and see if we can knock out any issues with Feb, but also look more widely at how we're supporting this, so that we can get you all a better experience.
Just as an update - the Free Roam mission should now be fixed, and easy to unlock Of course, I've started the debate about how we support this further moving forward, and will come back to you all once I get more news on that
I got the free roam done too now. Apparently clicking return to free roam after completing a timetable service is enough
You can quite literally just pop into free roam and then immediately quit back out again for it to count, easiest Mastery challenge yet?
Yes. You don't even need to do anything else. Return to Free Roam then exit to the menu. Kind of pointless, really!
I guess, if you could find a service and finish it - bearing in mind the save game still doesn’t work properly on subsequent runs.
That would at least be somewhat interesting and challenging to implement. Although quite a few services on some routes start on lateral tracks. You start the first part, prepare the train and deliver it to the station. The service ends, you press the button to return to free mode and a new service begins with a full ride.
No, but the ones that are working on that are not checking discord, forums, instagram, facebook, etc ...
I agree, there are only three full trips along this route. But it's still more challenging than simply entering free roam.
Just had to submit a ticket, as Tier 2 is no longer tracking for me after clocking a handful of completed timetables.
I'm going to log a ticket as well. After getting the free roam section to track now the rest of my timetable runs for tier 1 have stopped tracking.
I got Tier One finished okay, albeit Tier 2 briefly showed as complete and some of the mileage has spilled over. Save scummed the scenarios as usual with Sherman Hill yard, but gone back to SimRail for the next couple of evenings as I want to keep Tier 2 to work with the GWE remaster.
Anyone else bothered to complete the festival of rail mastery? Had to go out of my way and install a US route and a German route to get it. Chose Köln - Aachen for the German one because of its imminent remaster

Hmm, you could be right that it wasn't posted anywhere. Only noticed it when checking my monthly mastery progress.
Thanks for the heads up, done a couple of high speed runs in US/Germany as still needed milage for the February one.
Revisited the 140 for the German one. Just wish it layered on more routes than the rather boring Stuttgart to Hellbronn.

I think the Poster we got for "Festival of Rails" is 1000 times better than the tenth "Visit Country" Poster we received this Month from Mastery. If anyone from DTG reads this, how about we get the old TSW Covers as Posters in the next few Months?
