Will the remaster get a new timetable.

 

The timetable was already upgraded. No need to do it again.

 

It literally just got one.

 

I forgot about the revamped until I just looked lol.

 

I mean the timetable is wonderful in terms of quantity but isn't without faults still, but I realize this isn't the point of this remaster...

 

Now fixes to the timetable are indeed welcome as there are quite a few niggles.

 

On Xbox, using the revamped timetable was causing crashes for me, while the new journey timetable is running fine. I don't know if this is fixed in the meantime, otherwise I'm hoping they fix this a.s.a.p.

 

The cause for that is the amount of different trains. Köln Aachen is for consoles the same as many other addons with a high amount of layers it will crash on consoles.

TSW does not crash on PS5. The out of memory bug is Xbox specific.

 

I think you know very well what I mean, right? The list of issues on consoles is long, and not just on Xbox. Sorry if I was a bit unclear about that, but I was referring to all the problems on the consoles.

 

You still mean Xbox, I guess. Most problems on PS5 are the same problems as on PC.

 

blurry textures are also a problem on consoles?

 

Again only on Xbox. Blurry textures is a Xbox only problem.

False i am a ps5 player and i still get blurry textures its an issue with the whole game itself everywhere

What route? haven't seen any blurry textures on PS5 so far. I have seen them in the past but since I picked up the game again I haven't seen any. I have seen the blurry textures on Xbox and that's not what I've ever seen on PS5. On PS5 I saw blurred trains passing by in the past but no blurry textures like on the gauges or Paddington station being all blurred.

As the review takes place at 8pm tonight, l think that’s when they will announce the release date. As the review is early in the week my money is on a Thursday release this week. If the review was on Thursday, the release is normally the following Tuesday. One thing is certain, the release is imminent!!!

 

Where will the remaster be shown?
I don't see any previews of this remaster video or live stream on YouTube or the TrainSimWorld channel.

When the revamped timetable was released by accident on Xbox, I had no issues. Later on the crashes start happening. Also I didn't own Kassel - Wurzburg, Bremen - Oldenburg or any of the newer routes back then, so no ICE 1, n-wagen, BR642 and no freight. All layers where from TSW2 or earlier. So I'm pretty sure it's some bug, not the amount of trains, as it was not even that busy with the amount of layers missing.

Also, GWE remaster is not crashing with more trains, SKA is the only route crashing for me.

These remasters are coming faster than expected.

 

The fact that the Köln-Aachen and East Coastway-announcements came out of nowhere after a long period of teasing and waiting for GWE, I wonder whether they have found ways to speed up the process. Matt has stated in the past that remastering is basically two steps: Switching on the new lighting in the editor, which takes a couple of seconds, and than painstakingly changing the parameters of every lighting item in the route which can take forever. If they have found ways to e.g. automate some of these things, more remasters would appear far more likely.

 

SKA remaster is done by a 3rd party dev and we don't know how long they worked on it. But based on the list they also altered/updated the vegitation and night lighting. For the Dresden - Riesa remaster, they did the bare minium in my opinion, for me the vegitation seems off and not up-to-date with standards of other TSW3 and 4 routes. GWE remastered looks very good, so I hope SKA has the same quality.

 

Looking very much forward to the preview - finally what the new timetable deserves! Plus, it's nice to finally see another non-UK route remastered, about time.

 

A third-party developer here too, of course.

From the first few minutes of the stream, it doesn't look like much.
There's no grass along the tracks, and in the shadow of the clouds, TSW looks the same as TSC.
Very flat.

 

I watched for about 10 minutes then clicked off. I wasn’t that impressed by it.
Compare Koln (R) to the GWR (R). It’s night and day.

 

It might not look as good as GWE, but it's still up to standard. Same quality as more recent German routes. Combined with the updated timetable it's still very good and I look forward to picking it up again.

 

Yeah the quality is very decent. The stream quality is lower then GWE remaster.

Yes the stream quality definiately is inferior to the GWE one. It looks okay and I am sure will look better when we see it for ourselves.

 

It's a very good route and timetable already, and now, this is a welcome FREE update to the new graphics. So thanks.
As for the rest, the term "remaster" ...eeeh...nah. It's same old SKA. Which I already loved and am still gonna play.
