Following the amazing remaster for GWE, I'd like to suggest something for both this route as well as Riviera Line. While both routes are superb in their own right, in my view one small frustration persists - while both are modern, they differ slightly in era, meaning different rolling stock for the same services. With Riviera Line featuring 802 services to Paddington - but GWE with HSTs instead - it would be nice if such services can be linked for more immersive and longer gameplay. For example, on Riveria Line it would be nice to have a full, separate HST timetable meaning you could go from Plymouth all the way to Paddington with the 'same train'. Conversely, it would also be good to see GWE featuring a separate 802 timetable* that could link with the normal base 802 timetable from Riviera Line. *Regarding 802 for GWE, obviously this would be a lot more unrealistic considering the era and the fact the OHLE is not complete, thus diesel mode would have to suffice. However, I'd rather have an unrealistic, but full 24-hour 802 timetable than nothing at all because otherwise what's the point of having this unit if you can't go to Paddington with it - arguably, it's most important and most iconic destination on the GWR network. What's everybody's thoughts on such?
Nice idea. I'd love to see an official Riviera Line Timetable utilising the HSTs more. However, alongside the blue HSTs and 165s, it would be a brilliant opportunity to introduce the blue/green 153s, blue 150 and introduce a new 143 Pacer.
Fully support this, especially now we can run with the HST cab doors open. A proper 2+8 set storming up Hemerdon, what's not to like - well a Paxman Valenta instead of MTU but we can't have everything!
Great idea. Would love Warships alongside the Westerns, Peaks, 47s. I can image it being a bit of a pain to recreate the actual timetable because the Beeching cuts took quite a lot of sidings away from Newton Abbot, so could potentially create a bottleneck.
