New route set in 2019 https://alanthomsonsim.com/downloads/rw-manchester-north-west-network-phase-1/ Roadmap: Phase 1: Manchester to Preston via Bolton Phase 2: Manchester Piccadilly to Manchester Airport (The Styal Line) Phase 3: Lostock and Huyton Junctions to Wigan (Liverpool – Wigan – Bolton) Phase 4: Bolton to Clitheroe (The Ribble Valley Line) Phase 5: Farington Curve Junction to Colne (The East Lancs Line) Phase 6: Salford Crescent to Hindley (The Atherton Line) Phase 7: Manchester Victoria to Rochdale (The Calder Valley Line) Phase 8: Wigan Wallgate to Headbolt Lane (The Kirkby Line) Phase 9: Farington Curve Junction to Ormskirk The order may change. The first phase of this project extends ATS Chat Moss by 30 miles to Preston via the likes of Bolton and Chorley, joining the West Coast Mainline at Euxton. This line carries important traffic from Manchester to Blackpool, Southport, Blackburn and Scotland, allowing these trains to avoid the WCML by taking a more direct route. The southern section between Bolton and central Manchester is one of the busiest lines in North West England with eight trains per hour in each direction all day.
Looking good especially as I am from East Lancs. I dont have anything from ATS as its a later era than what I prefer, so the requirements are a little off putting. One to watch and see how it progresses, really has to get to phase 5 for me.
Although this is a local line there are a number of requirements I don't own so I will download the route which is not restricted and see what it looks like. I presume you have the SLANC & NWC that covers the Wigan area and the line approaching https://backdatedtrainsim.weebly.com/slanc--nwc-blue.html
Fantastic route for the developers first step into route building really looking forward to seeing this expand and evolve. Just a side note but this isn’t by ATS it is by Ryan. ATS is just the website they have uploaded it to.
Good point. Without checking I think I have all the DTG requirements plus SLANC & NWC, so its only the ATS routes that I dont have.. Worth downloading just to see what I am actually missing.
