It would be really nice if someone could replace the old MSB BR146 and Dostos with newer ones from Frankfurt-Fulda or the Ludwigsbahn. These old things just don't look good under the Tod4 light.
[Deleted; insulting, unhelpful - DTG Harry] Here are three examples from the BR 442. BR 442 with signal light. As you can see, you can't see anything. With the high beam dimmed, it's as if you're trying to light up a stadium. And then there's a bug that has never been fixed since the DLC was released and has now been overlooked again in the remaster. The passenger compartment lighting of the BR 442 always shines through the roof.
This train is buggy as hell! It has no headlights at all only when you put the headlight switch then it completely nukes everything. So there is some improvement needed. (I guess the whole lightning is broke)
Totally agree. But I think it's a missed chance to not give a good upgrade to the 146. The FTF sound mod is a great addition, but the traction meter is all over the place even when you are not slipping. The MFD screens are outdated. Would have been nice to update this loco to the current standard.
I wonder if the upgrade on the route is separate from the rolling stock, since that comes from a different route? The only "native" stock from this DLC are the 406 and 442 right? The rest is from another DLC so would be up to that DLC to be fixed?
Pros The up close assets on the route are better. The lighting is way better. Sounds might be better? Or it's just me imagining it. Cons Can't really say anything got "worse" but a lot of things were the same as before. No change The buildings are still very "crisp" and well defined... artificial looking standing out from the scenery. The open fields are still very "painted on" with no "grass" texture at all. I mean... it's an improvement for free so can't really complain. It wasn't one of my main routes before and it won't be in the future. It's...okay.
There was a patch this morning on Steam, but surely too small to be this. Took a look and nothing looks different on the route, so wondering if the update was for something else.
There are differences. They're not massive though. The lighting and signage are the big things. You should know you have the new version if there's a new timetable.
Can u switch the Dostos pls. And in discription they tell the fis of the 442 is reworked.. but i have no working fis yet...
Hmmm I thought that was new. Well, then all I really noticed new was the lighting and signage then. Some vegetation maybe.
I have many mods installed. But i deactivated all and is doesnt help.. But i think the problem is it spawns older version like Aschaffenburg Gemünden Dostos
From one run in the 406 blurry textures turn up on ps5 and you can't see the PZB lights on just see 55, 70 and 85 just about wich makesbit hard to drive HUD less and with the minimal hud. A strange 500hzs is triggered at Koln HBF on departure on green signals with no reason for it to be triggered as far as in now.
Does the PZB not switch up on all 406 services that you've driven? Or in generally it isn't lighting up?
This is a well known issue with many older rolling stock. The indicator lights are almost not visible. DTG should go through them and correct this bug
It is now time to finally put this knowledge into practice. It is unacceptable that a flaw such as the passenger compartment lighting on the BR 442, which has been known since TSW 2, has not been corrected in the remaster. Or that the headlights, which were supposedly going to be redesigned, are now a complete disaster.
That's why I'm grabbing feedback! I wasn't around for TSW2, but I'll make sure feedback is passed on. A ticket has already been raised for this by myself.
Thanks but I am sure the issue never was that feedback was not passed to the developers or that no tickets were opened. The issue always was that known issues did not get fixed despite numerous reports and tickets, thats why people are understandably a bit upset these bugs and issues are still in the new fresh Remaster version of the route. I already owned the route but I would have been very upset if I bought it just because of the Remaster version announcements just to discover many bugs and issues that already were in TSW2 are still there, some even worse like the ICE windshield issue.
Apologies for chiming up here... I took a few screen shots earlier and was going to post about it separately, but as there's been talk about the safety systems indicator lights here I thought I'd add it in. On the ICE 3M (with analogue gauges), the indicator lights below the round gauges are indeed difficult to see in daylight conditions. Please see the two screenshots below, the first (top) one has SIFA light lit, in the second (bottom) one it's off. I think these screenshots illustrate the problem rather well. It'd be great if the non-lit indicators could be make darker so that there is a stronger contrast between the lit/unlit state. (SIFA indicator is the fifth round light from the left on the top row of the indicator lights.) [PC/Steam]
I'm delighted with the route remaster release. However, I was deeply disappointed that the rolling stock didn't receive suspension. It's like a death sentence: if we haven't got it now, we never will. The lack of suspension significantly diminished the remaster's value, which is a real shame. I don't believe the developer will return to the project again and improve the product in the future. Why wasn't this done? After all, the 442 already has this feature on other routes, and the 406 desperately needs it!!!
The problem of outdated train suspensions (for example, the BR 193 or the unfinished BR 101 EL) is the program's biggest flaw. Both DTG and third-party developers simply don't care. Let's hope this becomes a standard feature in the next Train Simulator with UE5. This TSW is becoming an open-air landfill.
Don't forget the routes that released during the TSW4 era which to this day still do not have it. They won't even acknowledge it anymore, as they think we're simpletons who will forget as long as they don't bring it up. Judging by how few people bring it up anymore, I guess they made the right judgement call. I guess we're all distracted by the new Thomas content. LIRR Commuter and the Suffragette will be forever left in the dust.
It's so unfortunate that the ICE3M model didn't get replaced with the ICE3M model from Mannheim-Kaiserslautern, or the Br423 from Frankfurt S-Bahn.
