Hello, I recently purchased Losseless Scaling because I couldn't stand dropping from 70 to 30 fps or even 20 fps anymore. I'm quite sensitive to drops in FPS and it gives me headaches. The software works quite well and has managed to increase my FPS, but I still have some issues. 1. The camera has become heavy; its “weight” is influenced by the situation I find myself in. 2. There are micro-shutters that are not due to the map because I had already gone through it 5 times in its entirety without updating the graphics driver. 3. There are also image distortions, but these may be impossible to eliminate since they come directly from LS. Here are the best LS settings I've been able to find that ensure the best gameplay : Do you have any better settings or recommendations? Thank you in advance.
You will never get rid of all micro-stutter. Some small stutters will remail even if you have driven the road many times. My advise would be to try the method I have outlined here if you are not happy with the results you get from Lossless Scaling : https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/how-focusing-on-60-fps-might-ruin-your-experience.96588/
I had a go with frame generation with lossless scaling but found same issues (image distortion and stutters), upon doing some reading it seems it was because my system lacked enough ram to do it fluently (16gb) but with 32 or 64gb apparently it should run fine, at least in regards to distortion. For my part I decided to simply cap FPS at 35 to avoid sudden drops
I'm using a QHD monitor so my flow scale slider is set to 75% as it suggests in the info for the slider..... Various sites and forums suggested Capture API be set to WGC for best results.
As I stated it should work the same for Nvidia GPUs if you have a 144 Hz GSync Monitor with LFC and a minimum refresh rate above 36 Hz. Of course I can't try it so if you tried it and it did not work then please tell me what settings you don't see or why you think it does not work.
