So in regards threading, then as a Community member I would suggest that all comments relate to stated thread names.

As I was stating to DTG - Staff that you aren't listened to. That a route map & timetable should be created by Matt himself & worked for 3rd party to pick up.

Only I do know how it works,

Player (Community) engages on Forum,
DTG - Staff - get the information needed passes it on to internal / 3rd party
3rd Party - goes back to DTG
DTG - comes back to player (Community) with compremises or 3rd Party ideas to make better or work.

But I doubt this is happening.

It techincally the DTG you should be clean trash up. But hey oh.

So just confirmed by Harry in another thread, the Class 170 improvements will not be released alongside this. So don't hold your breath folks on another empty promise. My money this week destined for the Simrail route extension and new EMU, not this.

 

The class 171 will have the improved sounds, they just won't be applied to the existing 170's yet. Buying or not buying this pack doesn't have anything to do with that.

 

I thought we would have heard of a release date by now. I dont see this releasing tomorrow now maybe Thursday if not then next week.

 

It certainly is a means of expressing disappointment that the sounds exist, but Rivet and DTG CBA to get on and apply them to the item which has served as the source for this rework that has inferior sound since release.

 

Good glad, maybe put the comments with regards 171s in the relevant thread. As this is the map & Class 377 & 313 plus the relic tractions on remaster.

Maybe try Southern Class 171s & Class 377s, so create one purly for the pack, albeit I'm sure their is 1 somewhere.

It would be nice to see an overview video of the 171 (shame Rivet has stopped doing these, they were quite a good format), after the GWR 150 updates, [Removed]

I don’t really like that the goalpost keeps getting moved in regards to updating the other Turbostars. First it was with the WM/XC pack, then it was with this pack & now it’s “in a future update”.

Well, as usual, one of my main areas of concern will be the night lighting. Recognizing that it's largely a rural route, there should still be sufficient ambient lighting so that you're not driving in the pitch black, as is the case now for parts of the route.

 

Thank you DTG Alex for reopening this thread. Any news on the release date yet? DTG Harry said it will be a February release and the month is almost over. Thursday perhaps?

+1 for release date info. I hope we get a release date by the end of the week. I’m really looking forward to this remaster.

 

If there is a delay, I rather DTG told us and be honest then leave us in suspense. They should not of done the preview stream if that was the case yet.

I think DTG have handled this poorly.

 

If it's going to be released in February it'll be in the next 4 days. There is no good in losing sleep over it for now...

For now I'm RP'ing in GTA5 online as a LAPD officer in a 1990s Chevrolet Caprice and picking off lobby griefers for fun and I suggest others engage in other interests to see them through rather then get stressed over it. It's not as if it's the Class 104 situation!

 

Why? Nothing was promised, they only said they were hoping for a release in February. It has only been about four weeks since it was announced, so have some patience.

 

Literally, seems a handful of people have just told themselves it would release this week & are now blaming DTG for that.

 

I think they thinking that because the stream was lastThursday it would have been released today. Like most other times maybe the stream was a bit premature this time who knows.

 

I think it was made quite clear in the stream, that there was no solid release date.

 

Harry told us in the preview thread last week it would be in February. If you looked at Matt, he did a face plant as soon as she said this. To me, this tells us all we need to know as far as a February release.

 

lets settle on "out soon" ... I like East Coastway, one of the most chill routes, and I will surely be buying the new timetable with trains as well, as I like 170/158 and similar diesel chuggity chugs

 

I believe Harry said *hopefully* in February & Matt likely faceplanted, because he knew this would happen.

 

Ye I reckon that as well but why such an early preview stream then I wonder.

 

Perhaps in such a way that there is an event per week and people don't start saying "the game is dead", nothing happens, etc.

 

What makes it early? Even if it releases at the end of March it would only be a month prior, which is quite soon in terms of first looks within the gaming industry.

In fact I quite miss the time when DTG would regularly do multiple previews prior to content releases.

 

I'm so looking forward to this remaster - as this route is very close to my heart - so I've been looking back at my visit to Newhaven a few years ago. I must say, perhaps my favourite station from East Coastway is probably an odd choice: Newhaven Harbour - it might not be the most prettiest with its rather gritty atmosphere, but it's nice and peaceful in its own way, at least on the summer's day I visited.

You don't even know there is a delay yet. And I don't believe a release date was set in stone.

You're making a mountain out of a molehill over a free upgrade.

 

East Coastway is one of the few older routes I still often choose to drive as it's quite relaxing, I'm glad the remaster is coming and the 171/377 pack will be a day one purchase for me.

Personally I'm just really happy the hourly Eastbourne-Victoria services via Lewes services are added.

 

Yeah it will be nice also to see the uptick in traffic, we’ll be passing double (more than at certain times) the trains we currently do on the route.

 

nice pics man ... anyway. thinking of stuff, and as much as I used to hate on how many UK MUs look, I am kinda starting to like em, in a way... ugly AF, but with, ehm, specific charm

tho this one looks rather stunning with more modern angles and orange/black colour combination

 

Plus, like with London Commuter, these services will add more interest to the timetable as they attach/divide and/or terminate at Eastbourne etc.

I also hope these services match those on the BML timetable so you can drive continuous services over both routes.

 

I still think they kinda look like milkboxes on rails, but if an angle or design element here and there is done right and it has a nice livery, they can actually look very nice

it's ok, I am sure it will be worth the wait, it's not like many of us dont have 300+ GB worth of content to play in the meantime

Technically better to say Feb 29th - being a leap day, though the next one ain't until 2028.

Thus I still believe, unless they announce there is a delay, it is to release in February, otherwise one could just say they lied.

 

I think the confusion comes from how inconsistent DTG are with the way they operate.

Like you said, they used to do multiple previews for new content, but more recently (like since TSW5 launch) they've tended to run the previews a couple days or at most a week before launch.

I suspect this wasn't totally intentional but a knock-on effect of the rough launch of TSW5 and subsequent scrambling to get the game back into a decent state with the blurring issues, etc.

Now, maybe, they've gotten back into being able to do previews further out, which is fine, but an expectation was created, so it will take time for people to adjust.

 

Exactly. Yesterday I enjoyed a leisurely drive on Mittenwald, this afternoon on Niddertal. Might have a go at Preston-Carlisle this evening. Maybe even some GWE or 'old' ECW . The remaster will come soon, I'll enjoy it then.

 

I am currently having a blast going back and forth on Birmingham Crewe ... yesterday did 350 to Crewe, then hunted down a 390 for way back (used it to test emergency braking which I intend to do today as well)

 

If they told us, why would we then still be in suspense?

 

DTG is a private business, they don’t have to tell you every little thing that happens. I think the communication is generally good.

No firm date has been announced, so there is no delay.

 

During the preview stream they specifically mentioned it is coming in February. So if it won't release in the next few days, then it indeed is a delay.

 

It's just how you interpret what was said now is it? The fact that you choose the interpretation that suits you best, doesn't make it the (only) truth.

And in the end, what does it matter? It releases when it does. That's it.
