With regards to Xbox players, there seems to be a re-occuring issue with the game crashing constantly. It seems to have started from when the remaster was released and affects multiple routes. I have had it crash on the GWE, East coast way and wcml South routes (I'm sure it happens to others too).
Two small things I noticed on PS5. Driving the Riviera 802 to Reading in summer, I noticed that parts of the windscreen wiper (which should be black) sometimes had a strange orange or yellow (rust-like) colour. Also, the sleeper service with the Class 47, running on the relief line, shows a maximum speed of 90 instead of 50. 90 is fo DMUs only.
Hi DTG Liam , in regards to the 166, sometimes the Chiltern livery one layers onto routes such as GWE, Riviera, Cardiff etc. Could you have a look at removing that substitution for that livery from those routes as it should only be on Mildmay not on GWR routes.
Question for Xbox Series X users who own all the DLCs: which layers have you disabled to avoid blurry textures? At the moment, for me it’s working by removing all the layers related to WCMLs, Voyager, Riviera, railtours and underground. The AI traffic still remains rich, and the framerate at Paddington benefits from it as well.
Did you have the option enabled to derail when a manual junction isn't set correctly? With this option enabled, when you drive into a manual junction that's set wrong, you get derailed just like in the real world.
Does anyone know why HST power cars are showing as just the mesh at distance since the remaster, seems to be every CC livery.
Oh that's genuinely a coincidence. If I remember correctly from Matt's stream it stands for London Heathrow. Fix is in for a GWE patch (no date yet). For some odd reason the lower poly model of the HST used at distance had it's materials set differently than he rest.
5z60 is a bit confusing. I couple to the cars at Southall depot, pull into Southall station, the service ends so I go back to free roam. I wait several minutes then load passengers, am instructed to drive to paddington yet there's no path for the train and the signal doesn't clear. If I exit to menu, I cannot find the service to paddington from Southall?
I don't own the Riviera line or the voyager so I only disable the 350s, Southern services and the Mildmay line services. I find that all the underground stuff is fine and doesn't cause any issues. If I were you I'd see what it's like with the underground stuff on because it adds a lot to Ealing Broadway and the entry into Paddington. I've noticed though that the 350 seems to be the main culprit when it comes to blurry textures as I tried turning the layer back on to see how the route would do but the blurry textures showed up again around Acton main line.
It must be something else. I disabled those layers (I don't have Mildmay) and the blurry textures on the 166 started as usual before Ealing Broadway. What are Southern services? Thanks.
As anyone done 3p55 reading tcd to Paddington. Get stuck at a red signal before reading station waited 39 mins would not change.
I think it appears as West London line on the layer selector? They use the 377s from WCMLS and are basically never seen so its not worth having them on. Hopefully turning that layer off might help as, like the 350, it's also from WCMLS.
On PS5 any journey that specifies to set the lights to “day running” on the class 66 won’t advance to the next step when satisfied (usually it’s already set to this but will advance when set to “night running”). Similarly when told to turn the lights off (so have the arrow point up rather than down).
I don’t think anyone’s mentioned them here, and I don’t recall seeing them in the original, but have tristate banner repeaters been added to the remaster? Nice one!
Since the GWE remaster, the layer of static internodal trains on SEHS (near the tunnel entrance, I think Dagenham) has disappeared. I think this will probably be resolved when the SEHS "update" comes out but still wanted to flag it.
6L65 derailed for me with about 3-4 miles to go to the last stop in the yard, despite going about 2/3rds the posted speed limit.
Random Random derailments possibly a core issue. They were quite frequent in TSW4, went away in TSW5, but back with a vengeance in TSW6 - can occur any route, any train, any time. A piece of spaghetti code must have worked loose again!
I've noticed that the original timetable and the DLotGW timetable are very stable compared to the new one. The save function works just fine and no lock-ups. I would really like to get back to the remaster, but some bugs need to be ironed out first. Is a patch in the offing?
Liam has said a few times that a number of bugs have been acknowledged and fixes found, BUT knowing DTG the patch might not come for another 5 years.......... ( I said that, not Liam )
