Currently writing this from Three Bridges! BML would be an amazing route to remaster, but IMO a very large work needs to be done on the scenery. It looks quite bad in places. I'd also rather wait until texture blurring is sorted as I don't want a non-blurry route to turn blurry and become unplayable. I'd feel a bit cheated if we had to buy the class 700 again though, the 8 car variant is already in the game. I wouldn't want to pay twice to get the 12 car variant.

Makes sense, the 377/3s very rarely actually worked on the Seaford Branch , certainly not regular, while the 313s worked down here, the only time you'd see a 377/3 and a 313 would be one off rarity, or, as a 7 car unit on football days at the amex, fairly common on the Seaford branch

I would gladly pay for a DLC or gameplay pack if that was necessary to (partly) finance the remaster, like with ECW.

It would probably have to be the 12-Car 700 + something else to ensure it’s a no brainer. Perhaps the 319? There was some overlap between them and the other units on this route..

There are quite a few possibilities for overlapped stock, or swapping one thing for another.

442 is definitely top of my list, but 319’s & 460’s would be very close.

I would suspect same era, so the 377, 387 and 700. Maybe another version of the 700 plus additional scenarios.

Or perhaps another class 377 sub class like the 5-car 377/6?

I'd like to see the Southern class 455, which could also include the 377/6 and 377/7 (the 5 car 377s)

I'd also love to see the class 442 and 460 but they'd both require other rolling stock for the timetable to be realistic.

This is my thinking if BML remaster was to happen under 3rd party. Both of these would be a great choice for BML and give it a reason to remaster, just needs the core issues solved first.
Setting it in 2017 would give you that overlap of the 319 and 700's, along with the current stock in game including the 313 and 171

Has anyone from DTG or DTG Liam confirmed they are aware about the disappearance of the track at Eastbourne and will a fix be pushed?

You could pair a 700/1 and 387 together in a pack (although I can understand it not being a popular choice and a bit repetitive with the upcoming GWR pack). I remember seeing Thameslink branded 387's prior to the full introduction of the 700's, maybe it could also include Great Northern branding incase a Kings Cross to Peterborough route ever gets released.

A 319 would be quite nice though.

Definitely.. and like Rivet with the Turbostar liveries / add-ons, bringing in the 319 into TSW would future proof the whoever chooses to develop it - it’s seen many liveries and versions, and is a huge leap towards the 320/321/322’s too!

2017 also could also have Class 442s about since they were finally withdrawn from service in March 2017.

Absolutely loving the new TT. To be honest I have only given the /3 and 171 one run each, the rest have been 313 services. I haven't driven it in a very long time, and honestly it's an absolute blast to drive. I haven't really mastered driving it so it's nice with the regen braking kicking in and out every so often and the acceleration not being very linear. And it's fairly easy to run without the HUD (well, from Brighton towards Lewes and further on anyways).

My only small gripe is that the 377/3 doesn't make an appearance in the 313 timetable. Considering you kinda need the 377/4 from ECW and they do operate a few Victoria services, it would've been nice to see a couple of 7 and 10 car services. Otherwise no real complaints from me. Can't wait for 750V Studios to update their Electrostar pack to include the 377/1, and hopefully have their Electrostars sub into a few services.

Not sure about people's talk about a remastered BML I think DTG or Rivet or whoever need to get the ECW Remaster's issues all sorted out first. :D:D:D

It honestly seems like a route that just worked fine with little if anything wrong with it to one that is plagued by issues. Don't think i've ever had a DLC where I've found so many myself. (All posted on the feedback thread too).

Oh come on, it's not 'plagued with issues'. For one, most of the feedback reported is about the DLC, not the remaster. And even then, the DLC is really not that bad.

And you might want to consider your choice of words, since the update was FREE, and made the route itself a whole lot better than it was.

When used with the 171 pack there are indeed more issues. There are still issues when not being used with the new add-on so not sure you can say it's mostly the add-on at fault.....

This is what I've found personally and I'd say it shows issues with both wouldn't you???

    Remaster related

Missing rails on approach to platform 8 at Brighton
Missing 3rd rail section longer than a 4 coach train at Hampden Park
Bugged train announcements announcing arrival and departure from stations not being called at
3rd rail shoes nowhere near the 3rd rail across the route (either shoes aren't dropping on any train or the 3rd rail has been lowered across the route).

    171 Add-on related

    377/2 default to AC power
    700 default to AC power
class 171 cab sounds disappear when passing another 171
    171 cab sounds almost non-existent
External sounds heard as loud in the 171 cab as they are from outside of the train (Crowd noise at Pride festival for example)
Cab texturing behaves strangely entering and leaving tunnels (panel fasteners and switches switch direct light/dark/light whilst rest of cab graduates)

And then you have others reporting Remaster issues......

    Missing track at Eastbourne
bugged DSD on the class 313
    missing station announcements

Still not enough to justify your choice of words regarding the remaster. And still no consideration from you that the remaster was free.

I get it, not everything is as it should be, but your exact words were unjustified and way too harsh.

Btw: there is also an issue acknowledging the DSD with a controller when on the 377/3. This didn't make your list :)

Well we'll have to agree to disagree won't we.......

I didn't get the ECW for free nor most likely did you and even though yes the remaster was free it's also forced upon you whether you want it or not and has introduced issues to a route I did pay for that weren't there beforehand. I think a lot of people would be happy to see how a update like this goes before committing to it themselves rather than finding issues that weren't there on the old route. Maybe if the free remasters are offered as optional there wouldn't be as much about it on here.

Other software and games I use have updates as optional so why not TSW?

hahaha where did I say I was ungrateful? I'm not ungrateful at all....... Just disappointed in the amount of bugs that haven't been picked up by the beta test team.

Are you saying if someone offered you a free upgrade of something you own and it turned out was worse than the one they took off you you'd not say anything and would just toddle on thinking well it was free so I shouldn't say anything?

That's because the class 377/3 is not the correct rolling stock for the 2018 timetable, the class 313 is. Class 377/3 was included in the pack so that player without class 313 can still enjoy Seaford services with other train instead of having those completely gone.

Hey, just wanted to say that these issues are known and are being fixed. I can only speak for the route side of the remaster as that's what I worked on.
The missing rails at Brighton and missing 3rd rail at Hampden Park are legacy issues as far as I'm aware, as all the track work was visual rather than adding/removing/changing rails. The 3rd rail height issue is an odd one though. Looking into it and you are correct that it is lower than the standard height used on other routes. To the best of my knowledge this wasn't changed either in the remaster and is going to be tricky to adjust.

I am fairly confident the remaster itself is of a high standard. However, the 171/377 were of such a poor quality I got them refunded and so i don’t really have anything to appreciate the route from. My two journeys I did made were both plunged into fog so I couldn’t see anything of the remaster anyway! I’m afraid whoever made the 171/377 really took the shine off your work DTG Liam !

The approach control was not added to LW15(for seaford branch route), this would of been a great chance to correct it but alas as expected not done.

I can tell you, that's just not the case. The level of quality is far closer to GWE than Köln-Aachen.

Agree to disagree. No bridge reverb immediately relegates it into a lower level of remaster.

I'm really enjoying the remaster side of ECW, It's nice that it's been brought back to life. The 313 is still a great little drive especially with the suspension. The route looks beautiful now and It feels much more like GWE levels of quality to me personally but you can tell it's not had the same level of detail/care as GWE.

I think most of my issues are with the pack itself tbh. It's just not had as much care and attention put into it as other content. It's just a bit too Rivet-like which post release support wise is always concerning.

That being said the one thing that is truly fantastic and full of quality is the timetable. Although again you can't just pay £12.99 for the timetable as good as it is.

I love the route and I love the remaster (the night lighting is fantastic) but I do agree that there have been a few missed opportunities to correct issues with the original route. My own bugbear is the missing 40/MU70 speed restriction at the top of the Seaford branch. The warning boards are there complete with AWS magnets but no actual restriction.

Has anyone not on Xbox got station announcements? If you have then are you using the 171 & 377/3 dlc or just the bare remaster?

I am on a PlayStation 5 and have platform and in cab announcements in the Class 171 and inside the 171's timetable. I haven't checked any other trains or timetables but can confirm that at least.
