There was a SPAD event in 2005/2006 (can’t remember exactly) where the driver had used speed set and then stopped paying as much attention to the signals he was getting. ASLEF and Southern agreed at that time not to permit the use of speed set.
So it's there and it works, but it can't be used according to the instructions or it's been disabled altogether?
It’s a company instruction not to use it. I’ve never tried to use it on the real ones (not too keen on the Form 1 I’d likely get for doing so) so can’t say if it’s disabled or not. Vaguely recall talk about them letting us use it going through the carriage washers but don’t think anything came of it.
Real 377s really struggle at low speed. Driving round Streatham Hill especially at 5mph is really frustrating at times. Fortunately Selhurst is 15mph.
Ai 171s suffer from the same front light problem as the ScotRail 170s, only headlight side has the light on, the smaller light(side light or marker I can never remember?) on the other side remains off.

Class 171 job ig62 anyone done this one yet been stuck at red signal just before brighton station. Waited 25mins didn't change there was an empty platform and clear path. On xbox
Amazing that the 170 model has basically been taken and copied, some things changed and yet you still haven't managed to fix the AI headlights stuck with only the main headlight on until you get into the cab yourself and set them to off then back to day. The 170s in the B2C have this fixed. The 170s on the Scottish Routes haven't - so its clear which one was chosen to be copied.
I think I have found the issue: I had the same two buttons assigned to these functions: - PgDn: Horn 1 up; Horn 2 down - End: Horn 1 down, Horn 2 up This led to the horn lever moving and deforming diagonally (because it shouldn't be able to be activated both up/down and sideways at the same time), and horn 2 getting stuck on. Removing the Horn 2 functions fixes my issue, but I think it would be wise to fix the buttons interfering with horn 1 and 2 if they are assigned to both.
From my guessing they at least partly used the oldest 377 model as their base for the /3 too. Why they'd do this I have no clue.
I’ve been having problems with the circle button not cancelling vigilance for the 377/3 on PS5 pro. I agree with all the above points including headlight indicator, PIS and Sounds. I have also noticed that the camera on the 377/3 and /4 doesn’t snap back by the cab and is still just where it was last. Also a small point but I still feel noteworthy all the BML traffic misses out all the stops between Brighton and Haywards Heath on the display boards. It looks like they’ve just copied one pattern and pasted it to all of them.
The shadow LOD is really bad on the 377/3. As soon as you move the external camera away, the shadows shrink and take on a weird shape. Xbox Series X.
