I just hope they are doing the unsilenced version of the 750, as they are (were) very reminiscent of a Sulzer Type 2.
So, apparently, this Czech railway line is supposed to be equipped with Eaos/Eas (?), Roos/Ros(?), Laeers(?), and Zacs/Zacns freight wagons, as well as diesel locomotives (from the images leaked so far)? A good reason to buy it, if so.
New trains and rolling stock in the game is always a good thing. I think we’ve had enough variants of the same locos recently. I’m still undecided if this will be a day one purchase from me though. Maybe the preview stream will win me over.
The czech asset pack was already distributed to players when Dovetail pushed yet another wrong build of the game to players, so it's safe to assume that it's pretty late into testing by now. Vector Sim also have a long history of good delivery of extremely high quality, so I assume that any delays will go after Dovetail, just as the patch for E94 is sitting in their office since July last year. The only thing I fear is that they would wave off some bugs for release to fix them in a patch soon after, and DTG never allowing them to release said patch too. Otherwise we should get an addon that is on par or above JT stuff.
I’m the same as you with waiting to see what the preview stream looks like first. The loco looks great though. Not sure what the actual scenery is like in this route. Curious.
From the screenshots, the scenery looks TSG or JT quality. If you're asking about the IRL scenery, expect a lot of greenery close to the tracks, some narrow valleys next to the Jizera river between Semily and Turnov and overall hilly terrain.
The scenery looks nice, and there are also two completely new locomotives, as well as several freight cars, a train car, and even a control car. If that's the case (though to be sure, we'll need to see a detailed presentation of the add-on), the routes we've been offered so far, with at most one new train and the same old rolling stock, are a joke. Or will this Czech Republic route cost €70?
Looks so good. I think we are in for a treat with this route. Can’t wait to see more over the next months.
Looking good but a bit sceptical of this being moved into the 0 - 3 month category. Though probably a certainty it will release before Tadami!
The roadmap literally says "with the release coming very soon" and "Be sure to follow for more information in a Coming Soon article".
Excellent, with the exception of the two JT routes, this is probably the route I am most interested in seeing.
Let's see if there will also be a variety of freight cars, as we can (glimpse) from the images available so far.
Christmas comes early this year I can't wait for the preview and also for the release, as this means it could release by mid-March.
For those who already can't wait for preview, a really pretty showcase of what to expect there from reality.
One thing not mentioned too loudly is also that unlike most DTG routes, this is not a simple A-B route connecting two big places, but it also has two other knot stations in the middle, so there should be hopefully enough space to stop for few minutes, wait for trains from other directions to come, let the passengers transfer between various routes and then continue further.
I can’t wait for this. It looks really interesting and different to what we already have in the game. And it has proper diesel locos
I have to say I'm a UK player but tuned in for the stream and so far I'm very impressed. The sounds sound good to me but I don't know the stock realism wise. It looks great from the preview, but will be interesting to see how it does on console? Especially as Matt has not wanted to turn the foliage quality down lol
I'm watching the broadcast and am I the only one who thinks that the 750 class doesn't have suspension?
This is a failure. I hope this is a pre-release build and and they'll add suspension at the release . Otherwise... I don't know what to call it politely, with all due respect to the creators.
I couldn't figure out whether all the rolling stock on the route (including freight cars) have active suspension or not.
This route is incredible. The crazy amount of detail. A castle that we can walk up and go through which I did not expect at all. That just happened out the blue while Matt was driving. The brand new foliage assets. Those tree’s look really good. The sounds of the trains were amazing. I also noticed everybody on the stream loved the horn sounds. I feel this one has got a 1UP on Niddertalbahn and I really love that route too. Really can’t wait to see what they have next after this route.
Stunning, absolutely stunning! Night lights/fog, rolling stock parade and in-cab experience... Simply amazed! Beautiful, enchanting landscape; many top-notch quality assets and general modeling/detail is superb! Only one flaw: main stations feel a bit "empty," let's say... What a route thought! Day one purchase here!
If anyone wants to judge the route pricing, they should absolutely view the stream first. The stock is feature-rich, literally halfway into the expert locos, along with a whopping 9 scenarios, a freight timetable with some services consisting of 12+ parts, and scenery is detailed to the point that includes a ENTERABLE castle.
Unfortunately, I committed myself to a British only routs and dlc since the launch of TSW6, but my first thought was minions when I see those locos. lol
I was kinda disappointed to learn we only get to experience the vigilance side of the safety system, but then, the trains look great, operation itself sounds really good (hoping to learn the signalling from the manual anyway), like the radio stuff hopefully it turns out great and is successful, so we see more Czech and Slovak content
Its prototypical if i understand it correctly. I must say safteysystems on more rural routes in eastern europe doesn't have that in general. The time stands still on those lines in the 70s period and i must say i love that!
Seriously, the scenery looks awesome. The locos are very detailed, with very good sounds and all the features including cruise control, changing the radio channels, the nice detail with the sticker that you can place on the window ... The loco has like 5 liveries and the passenger unit has 2. But we are not finished yet. They added a lot of cargo wagons and the very nice brake van. Then we have the timetable that uses all that stock, including the very interesting task of picking wagons from different places along the route. Might not be everyone's cup of tea to play that, but for sure it gives a changing world as you play thru the day that everyone will enjoy, even those that prefer to just play passenger services. Night lighting deserves to be mentioned too. It always looks as you expect, and the effect of the signal lights when there is some fog is incredible. Fingers crossed, but I didn't notice any bug in the stream. Everything seemed to work as expected (sad that this is some kind of exception). Yeah, it is on the expensive side but for sure they put a lot of work making it good.
After watching the broadcast, I also had questions about the implementation of the suspension function on the diesel locomotive.
