Since you've put so much work already into this, why not go one step further and create a joint timetable, approach DTG and get some sort of royalty/profit sharing deal and sell it on consoles (aka the cash cow)! I'm def willing to pay a "merger" fee for these US routes.

Once the missing link between Milton Keynes and Birmingham is released, how daunting of a task would it be to create a timetable for Euston - Crewe? Does the fact that the original timetables will all be set in the same year help in any way?

 

But wait, I thought DTG said that route mergers were always difficult if not impossible. Didn't they also say that putting the 700 on BML would cause performance issues?

Boston - Worcester and Boston - Providence are good candidates too.

 

It's not lies, it's just that there are hard limits on things like memory that the game is clearly already hitting on the console versions which are strained to breaking point, and often past it. DTG could do something like this, but to get the timetables working with all the locos loaded in, you would need a top end gaming PC, it would be impossible on a system with only 16GB of RAM like the PS5 or Series X.

Blurry textures and constant crashing would be the LEAST of your worries.

 

I dont know, Merged LIRR Trenton timetable got around 3000 services which is 3000 services less then BML timetable and you dont need high end PC to run BML timetable. And yeah BML timetable got over 100 services running in one time. The other timetables will be very similar because DTG already including services which are going of the map that way, so you dont let them finish in portal but you extend the route for them

They can be done but iirc the way the files are packaged means it’s not easy to do either with Steam or PS. The modder creating this merger must be a genius and DTG should employ him forthwith!

That would be mega but I dont think that'll work so well visually, being the Crewe to Carlisle route being set in an 80s time period while London to Crewe is 2024/5

But on the other hand, WCMLOS in TS was backdated too, and we still got a merge with modern routes !

I hope you could create Trent Valley & WCMLS together just so we could get them extra long runs in!

Shame ATS didn't go those 17miles to Crewe in MAC as Euston to Manchester merged lines would have been fantastic with two major terminus!

 

Yes, unfortunately, it came down to just 17 short miles....

That said, it's not impossible that AAS will choose North Wales, starting from Crewe, for its next route after the Trent Valley...

So I tried the installer and the mod and followed every step as per the readme file. However, I'm getting the following error and I'm unable to find the merged route.

But really looking forward for this.

 

Basically something failed during instalation, which version of TSW 6 do you have ? Steam, Epic, Microsoft store ?

 

Steam, PC.
Should I redo all the installation steps?
Does the folder have to be specifically created in C drive? Or can you create that in any other drive also?

EDIT: There was an issue when I installed. I missed a step. However, now I've completed it and do not get that error.

Name and picture is similar like LIRREX but it got Trenton in the name so if you type Trenton in route search field then it should show you that route too.

 

Since these routes share a few tiles, which scenery gets used? For example on Morristown Line, the section around Secaucus has had scenery upgrades from Trenton. Which version gets used?

 

I was thinking the train could de-evolve like ships hit by Annorax's weapon on ST:Voyager.

I was wondering if you'd be so kind to explain how you made the two routes merged. As I'd like to try it myself to try to merge 2 routes (mainly german, such as Kassel-Wurzburg, Kinzigtalbahn, and Frankfurt Sbahn).
