Xbox Series X Loading Issues

Hey DTG Alex and Chris, any news on fixing the bug/problem? Back in December, at the Discord QAs you told me a fix would be coming in January. Now is the month almost over and we still can't use all the DLCs we bought. Me and other users are getting really frustrated with the situation.

 

DTG Harry My game has started to crash on load at 83+ DLCs installed, any update on this?

The fewer installed, the less likely it is to crash.

Once you get to the 80+ region is when problems start to occur.

 

New issue:

On the off chance that I have managed to load the game with every single piece of DLC installed, the game doesn't actually recognise that I own everything.

For example, it didn't pick up the fact that I had Long Island Rail Road installed, which then affected layers with other content.

DTG Harry, are the team aware of this issue also?

 

It still crashes on launch 9 times out of 10!

Roughly 86 DLC seems to be the sweet spot, so I have resorted to only having installed the routes that I currently want to be concentrating on, along with their respective layered content.

Ideally though, I would just like to have everything installed all at once, as intended, as I have more than enough space on my Xbox Series X Galaxy Edition with a 2TB internal SSD.

 

Could there be an issue with your xbox cause im on xbox series x with 122 dlc without problem.

Since the end of last year when this error first appeared for me, today I tried to reinstall all my remaining DLC that I was forced to delete and now the reinstallation time was much shorter than before, and it seems that the error has disappeared for the time being.
Back when this happened, I could play with a maximum of 86 DLCs, regardless of how I installed them and I left out DLCs. As soon as I installed 87, the error immediately appeared and either halfway through the loading procedure or at the moment the loading/main menu music was finished, it immediately threw me back to the console's main menu. So I decided that I would only use specific DLCs according to the main themes. If I only wanted to use the Germans and the "unique" ones, then only those are there. If I wanted the British ones, then only those would have been there. With this solution, since I left the German DLCs in, I had 89 DLCs "in my possession" and today when I took them out again to see if there had been any progress since then, they were all installed in 2 hours (previously it took up to half a day) and loading was also true, although the usual 10-minute loading time remained, but it works with this.

I doubt it, have tried across 3 different Xbox Series X's, Galaxy 2Tb, Halo 1Tb, and launch edition, all with the same issue.

Also happens if installed to external 1Tb SSD card, so it's not the drive that is at fault.

 

I may not be able to do this, as I console share with my ex, so my Xbox isn't my home console, and is basically an overpriced paperweight when offline!

 

Hi yes my set as my home console I usually play online sometimes with my sister but I play on my console and she plays on her console, and after yesterday, today the problem is comed back, but now with 93 DLC the launching is works.

 

Yes, when it first appeared last year, I could use 86 DLC maximum than yesterday when I insalled back all the deleted DLC-s, it was worked, than now it work with 93 DLC maximum so this is a very instabil and complex problem

 

I only have 63 DLCs installed currently - all of the UK content - and I even had a crash on load then yesterday too.

 

I currently have 74 DLCs installed. In 6 out of 10 cases, the game crashes during loading or after finishing a route. When can we finally expect a fix? We want to use all the DLCs we have purchased. This issue is known for round about 6 months now.

But I noticed something, though it could just be my imagination. If the game get a CTD or a out of memory error during a service, it has problems loading after restarting. In my case I need too try sometimes 5 or 6 times to get the game loading.

However, if the game crashes while loading the main menu after finishing a service, it loads without any problems. In both cases with 74 installed DLCs atm.

 

It's been longer than that when you take into account that TSW5 had the exact same issue.

 

I'm curious, are you attempting to replicate the issue on retail consoles or dev kits?

 

I understand that, Chris, but I have the strange feeling that the manner and timing of the crash occurring here is related to the loading behavior when the game starts. Did the engineers look into this? Is there a chance that this could be a thing in this term? So I don't consider this post to be off-topic.
