Yes, because DTG changed it on YouTube afterwards, but before that it said the live stream would be on 12 March 2026.

Hopefully one of the German routes this will run on, is high up the list of routes to receive the texture fix.

Really want to drive this but there’s no way it’s going to be a smooth console experience.

In addition to having a dedicated layer on "Bahnstrecke Leipzig - Dresden" the BR 145 Expert substitutes on freight services for the following German routes in TSW:

    - Nahverkehr Dresden
    - Ludwigsbahn: Mannheim - Kaiserslautern
    - Tharandter Rampe: Dresden - Chemnitz
    - Schnellfahrstrecke: Kassel - Würzburg
    - Frankfurt - Fulda: Kinzigtalbahn
    - Bahnstrecke Bremen - Oldenburg
    - Schnellfahrstrecke Köln
    - Bahnstrecke Salzburg - Rosenheim
    - Frankfurt S-Bahn: S1, S8 & S9
    - Hauptstrecke Hamburg - Lübeck
    - Hauptstrecke München - Augsburg
    - Hauptstrecke Rhein - Ruhr
    - Main-Spessart Bahn
    - Rhein-Ruhr Osten
    - Ruhr-Sieg Nord

For Nahverkehr services the "NV" variant of the 145 substitutes on Dresden-Riesa and Leipzig-Dresden (but player only), on RE50 and most of the S-bahn services that use Dosto coaches.

As for the Expert wagons, these are only used on the Leipzig-Dresden Expert timetable currently, but my goal is to swap out wagons for their Expert counter-parts on the other Expert timetables* over time, as well as enabling substitution on the Dosto services.

*Don't expect to see any changes on the Dresden-Riesa Expert timetable.

Hopefully Ludwigsbahn and Bremen Oldenburg get a 145 timetable first. Fingers crossed.

You're of course correct. I edited the post to list all the routes rather than try to figure out which are excluded.

Sorry for the indiscreet question, but how quickly can this be done? If, say, it's done quickly enough (a couple of months), I'd suspend my personal freight transport within Germany until the carriages will not be replaced with expert ones. And if it takes a year, then okay, I'll play with the regular ones.

And one more question. The BR 101 Expert will also be added to the schedule on the Leipzig-Dresden route, right? I think that was the plan.

The 101 will be part of the Expert timetable on DLG.

I can't make any promise as to when any of my changes will be made public, since I don't control when a patch is actually released (that is fully up to DTG). What I will say is that I have already started working on the Bremen-Oldenburg Expert timetable, and I'm hopeful that I will have finished all the changes to that, and to the Salzburg-Rosenheim timetable within a month (I'm giving some room here for any bug fixes that are needed on the BR 145, since that obviously takes priority, the changes probably won't take more than a week or two effective time).

More than that I really can't say at this time, but I will try my best to keep you all updated on both the status of the changes (as I did with the BR 101 Expert bug fixes and feature additions) and whenever it is confirmed that a patch is being released. :)

Will the new wagons also be a part of the new Expert timetables as well?

At release they are only used on the Leipzig-Dresden Expert timetable, but the changes I mentioned in the comment you quoted will include swapping out standard wagons for their Expert counterparts. So for example, formations that use Habbiins wagons will get the Expert version of the Habbiins, and so on. Also, I'm fortunate enough to have access to much of the freight service data that the original timetables were based on, so wherever applicable I will change the intermodal trains to carry semi-trailers with the Sdggmrss 738.0 pocket wagon as prototypical. :)

Just to clarify (didn’t want to clog up the Q+A), the 145 won’t have suspension upon release?

Is there a timeframe for when it will get it?

Yeah ok..... then i'm gonna be waiting until there's suspension to buy it.

How can a TSW6 DLC be missing a TSW4 core feature? Let alone on a premium expert product.

Shame this DLC got caught in DTG's annual March madness release rush because clearly it's not finished yet! Gotta make those quarterly numbers look good for daddy Focus, right?

Yeah this pack had a lot of good things going for it & nearly brought me back into German content, which I’ve strayed heavily away from, but they’re not going to be selling me an ‘expert’ loco that excludes one the most immersive features in the game.

I’ve been trying really hard lately to keep a more positive outlook on TSW, but there’s just been blunders and huge caveats every other day lately.

I honestly thought you were joking with your post and then i looked at the Q&A thread and it's just really shocking!

TSG has always produced such high quality stuff- can't believe they agreed to release it in this condition. It's sad.

I’m surprised they only just told us. You’d think it would have been said before now there were issues with it.

I get not wanting to say so until it’s confirmed, but I’d rather be told it won’t be there & then does end up there, than being left to assume it’s there & told it isn’t right before release.

Does the 101 have even suspension? As i can remember only the cabcar.

It doesnt ruin my experience at all, even if i hope they will add the core feature at some point. Day one purchais will remain, we finally get the second expert loco!!

    Just use those as replacement:

Since the preview stream is merely 2 hours away and the german stream is gonna be tomorrow, in which I suspect we'll be doing more of a deep dive as usual, and since it's none other than TSG with an Expert loco, I thought I'd share some detail pics of the real thing for all the rivet counters and buffer kissers out there (myself included).

So here are some pics from inside the engine room of 145 047-7 of the WFL, taken in anticipation of this DLC at Berlin-Schöneweide last September.

Since these were not all I took, here are some more of the brake rig and, among other things, a cylinder with orange granulate. Wonder if we'll see that "jar of sand" in the model.

And lastly, among one more from the engine room, an outside shot of the engine in its rather well fitting livery with PIS display. BR 145 Engineroom 11.png DSC_0058.png

Now let's see how realistic the DLC follows the prototype.

I'm not seriously expecting to see every switch labelled the prototype has to offer, but the BR 101 blew my expectations quite away in that regard, so let's have some fun in spotting details and counting rivets.;)

Incidentally, this is one of the few pieces of rolling stock on Stuttgart-Heilbronn which will be correct in Verkehrsrot, since they all were delivered from the factory that way and have never worn anything else (barring I suppose the occasional Werbelok)

Im surprised that there is no liveblog about the 145.... Mostly they will bring a blog about a product before the livestream but its extremely quiet.

To be honest, a couple of days ago I asked about this addon's active suspensions.
The developer responded promptly and kindly, saying he'd encountered many technical difficulties implementing this feature.
However (and I'm speaking personally) the addon simply doesn't capture my attention in this state.
Naturally, I wish all potential buyers and the developer every success with this product.

Speaking of active suspension, can anyone please tell me whether the FCA intermodal, KWA Warwell, and HKA Hopper Natural Power freight cars have this feature?
    I'm considering purchasing them.
    Thanks.

Not sure how much was shown inside the machine room on the stream for the NV variant but I can confirm that the machine room is different from the RBH and DB livery. It has two extra LSS, FMZ or frequency division multiplexing (SAT door control system) and "Fahrgastinformationssystem" or Passenger Information System, as well as the FIS/PIS power switch. So the MR should be prototypical for all variants :)
    upload_2026-3-6_3-55-58.png upload_2026-3-6_3-56-19.png
(the FIS switch is below the PZB Störschalter button).

I am currently watching the first part of the stream, the freight service towards Leipzig, and maybe I haven't played Dresden-Leipzig much but is it just me or is there barely any AI traffic around (and that at around 7-8am) ??
Besides that the loco looks and sounds great to me at least. It's a shame that it doesn't sub in for passenger services on other routes so far :|
€dit: Ok, the second part has a bit more AI, but not as much as I remembered or expected.

Unfortunately, DTG simply rushed to complete the Dresden–Leipzig route so that it could be sold with TSW 6.

As a result, many mistakes were made on this route, and unfortunately, there hasn't been much traffic on the rails since its release in September 2025.
And unfortunately, DTG does not consider it necessary to make any improvements to this route.

For me the trafic is realistic. The hourly IC/ICE services are there, RE50, RE15, all REs between Neustadt and Hbf are represented and the S-Bahn is also correct with all the "Verstärker" included. The big part of freight trafic is using the line via Friedrichstadt and the loop between Coswig and Riesa

They showed enough of the machine room so we could see it. Matt actually had to go there several times to fix some of the faults.
At the end of the stream, It was mentioned that one of the versions of the loco had a couple more switches and some differences in the interior, but they didn't show exactly what the differences were.

Sometimes during the streams they should also consider that perhaps potential customers would also like to see what is attached to the back of the locomotive, instead of insisting the whole time on the view from the cabin (which was still very interesting and technical).

It's an Expert locomotive so it's natural that more focus is spent on the driver experience (cab view) but I think a big reason for why the exterior wasn't showed that much during the stream is because Matt didn't want to get "SIFA:ed". On that note, SIFA audio will be changed post release to make it audible from external views.
