After watching part of BA’s stream, feel slightly more confident about getting this.

However, DTG Harry I do have to ask again why comments in the other threads about passenger behaviour at stations and the likelihood of virtual fatalities has been completely ignored. What are DTG and the developers doing to address this in an ASAP patch, please?

Just that and the ouch price tag that remain slight yellow flags to supporting this with a Day One purchase.

Okay at least that’s an acknowledgment if not a solution. However it remains a matter of great concern, particularly to those of us who work/have worked in the rail industry and had to deal with this type of incident directly or indirectly for real. One would have hoped the route builders could have planned the passenger pathing at stations slightly better to mimimise the issue.

From the pteviews it looks like 100km/h or around 60 MPH but most of it seems around 75 or 80 km/h.

Can anyone on ps5 confirm there's no texture blurring?

 

Judging by the up and down d/l speed on Steam, quite a few people must have grabbed this at 6pm!

Currently predicting 5 hours to download. Usually 9Gb takes about 15 minutes plus install time!

 

I was also shocked when I saw on Steam how much you have to pay for it in Switzerland.

I paid 50 Swiss francs, which is equivalent to 55.28 euros.
Where will this end?

 

Steam pricing is a joke in Switzerland. 50CHF when the PS5 version is only 40 CHF.

Yep. I just rebooted the PC and restarted Steam and it's still running really slow.

So off to play SimRail while it slowly chugs along..!

Edit: Looks like Windows Update is running and downloading and has grabbed most of my bandwidth.

Yes, it costs that much on Steam for PC.
It's really getting out of hand what Swiss players have to pay for DLCs.

a question - I distinctly remember an actual manual was promised during development/showings... with signalling more in-depth for future reference etc.... just checked Steam page... the DLC is there but cant find the manual... will it be added later?

 

I could be wrong but is this one of the most, if not the most costly add on I paid $65.00 CAD I hope its worth it.

 

Sometimes it's a plus to live in a 3rd world country... Only ~$19 for a new route.

havent yet played it cos I have yet to get home, but watched some vids on operating 843... just to be clear I understood it right - S is kinda like powering up (like in 612 where you increase percentage of applied power), J holds current power percentage, and V drops it gradually down to zero... then BE is dynamic/electric brake, you can hold it and then release it, and BP is air brakes/pneumatic (does it stay in BE or BP or automatically drops to V once you dont hold it?)

I just read the guide myself, and I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions as I get more comfortable. But I won't be able to get to the game until Friday, if not Saturday...

 

I watched the preview and a couple other channels, and while I understood some of the driving technique, only after reading the manual I think I really understand it... looks kinda similar to the system the German 612 uses, tho the way J position works is kinda weird... but interesting

in Free roam I might try to couple 750 to some German passenger coaches to kinda simulate some diesel express trains

tho I have a feeling I will be driving 843 more

 

A friend of mine simply couldn't get going on 843. Even though he had hundreds of hours of experience in the TSC and TSW. Already looking forward to it.

Foliage quality has taken a massive hit on ps5 compared to what we saw on the preview

 

Dropped in what turned out to b a night run with the 750, but yeah baby… This is awesome. My kind of loco, my kind of route. I love the golden light from the headlamps and the sky is not completely pitch black. Going to be spending a lot of time on this. £33 well spent despite my earlier scepticism.

Really that should be automatic, and a core feature rather than locomotive specific. Disappointing.

 

Yeah for Me the Same… I have the Train Controller X and the raildriver Interface and it doesnt work… its Really a shame.. I Hope they fix it soon. I Refund the Route till they fix this

 

I have the TSC-X as well, can’t imagine going back from it now. I still haven’t bought the Class 86 for the same reason…

Hopefully the devs will add this quickly. It’s hard to believe it’s omitted given how well done everything else seems to be.
