I've been wondering about this, what's the point of the lengthy QA process if, in the end, everything turns out to be done haphazardly?

Did I happen to be referring to locomotives?
Do you understand what I meant?
I also underlined it to try to be clear.
    The work isn't complete.
    There's no point in persisting.

Yeah okay but what is the advantage of suspension for a freight wagon? The suspension model is to experience the movement of a train. You never sit in a freight wagon so suspension brings nothing right?!

For me loco suspension is a must-have, but wagon suspension is more nice-to-have

    Listen, buddy.
Whether suspension is important to someone or not is a matter of fact, and that's fine.
But it was DTG itself (and not fpriotto520) who established that this feature would be standard from TSW4 onwards.
    The rules must be respected.
They know very well how to respect the €40 rule without too many problems, don't they?

I'm playing on the Xbox Series X and it's without blurry textures :)

I took the plunge and haven't seen anything yet.

Tbf, the routes I'm most worried for are the UK and German ones.

I requested a refund because of this, as I can't play without RailDriver.

Yet it's been a core feature of TSW for several years.

I'll repurchase this DLC when the developers have integrated it.

They add one thing and take away another.
    The three-card trick...

I suppose the problem is that hardly anyone owns a raildriver (compared to the wider community). And if the devs (especially continental-european devs) themselves don't have a raildriver, they won't be able to implement it. And i don't think they want DTG to work on their DLC. And neither DTG would just overtake a project. So unless the devs commit to implement RD at some point, I doubt it will ever happen.

Never bothered with a RD myself, the cost is off putting and better put towards other hardware upgrades. I certainly wouldn’t see it as justification to refund the product though with the caveat the description should have stated no RD support.

    Good morning folks!

First of all, we want to say thank you for all the feedback on Liberec - Stará-Paka. We'll be going through threads and socials today so we can report back to Vector Simulations, but it's looking like this route is quickly becoming something special to players.

Secondly, we had some reports of Mastery Challenges being missed from Liberec - Stará-Paka. I can confirm these challenges will go in today, however, the rewards will be arriving alongside our next core Train Sim World update, planned for next week on Tuesday 17th March, alongside a range of other improvements too! You are free to complete your mastery in the meantime, however, rewards won't appear until then.

Thank you again for your feedback. Please feel free to *keep leaving it* in the Liberec - Stará Paka Feedback Thread

Important to note that “rail driver” support actually means broad hardware support. I use the excellent TSC-X, which is widely available and I believe cheaper than the rail driver in most places. I previously used a rail driver, but would never suggest someone buy one now: go buy a TSC-X instead.

Once you use hardware like this, it’s near impossible to back to a keyboard.

Honestly, a sim game without hardware support is really a bizarre proposition.

Offtopic, but I sit in a racing chair and have no table, keyboard on my lap. Do you think the TSC-X is light enough to just have it in my lap too? I saw it wasn't paetucularly wide

I completely agree. It's like a racing game without steering wheel/pedal compatibility.
This has been a feature for a long time, and it's illogical that this particular DLC doesn't support it; I thought it was a requirement from DTG for inclusion in TSW?!

And so far no response from DTG about the lack of Raildriver/Hardware support, unless you consider a deafening silence an acceptable reaction.

    @yansel#5383

The TSC-x controller is 40 cm wide and is made of metal, at least the housing is.

it’s pretty heavy, much more than a rail driver, but if you really wanted to you could likely put it on your lap. You’d need to loosen the tension on the levers through or the whole unit would likely move when you use them.

Thats a fact.. i use the TSC-X too with the raildriver interface software... a Keyboard is no longer my way to drive... its a shame that the route is only drivable with keyboard and it took the immersion of a really good ambience away..

but for those who have the controller is this a Red flag.... and i think its a good deal when DTG only helps to implement this..

I found the initial tutorial tricky, but it seems I hadn't held the 'engine start' button long enough. The 843 is great fun to drive, once you get ity going ;)

just a useful minitip for PC keyboard users - if you just hold D key, it will increase BE braking force... if you want to use BP position (and this can be a little bit tricky to execute), once you reach the BE position, quickly tap D key again and hold until you reach desired braking force... arguably maybe the only case where this is a bit easier with mouse :D
