Hi All, I've question as in the title: does anyone know which timetable services are impacted by the bridge raise on the Bremen-Oldenburg route? By 'impacted' I mean that the train I'm driving will need to be stopped because the bridge is raised. At the moment I've completed around 40 services from BRO timetable, both passengers and freight, and I've never been stopped due to bridge raise there.
I believe it is rail traffic that gets priority so the boats are the ones that have to wait, though I don't know for sure
Dont have an exact service list, but try to play services crossing the bridge at minute 40 of every hour, as it always rises around that time.
Unfortunately, I don’t remember, but it was definitely some kind of evening service, because it was sunset.
This makes sense, if they would be random, the route would soon become a mess when left running with trains blocking stuff. Using fixed timings for the boats makes it easier to weave them into the timetable.
They're literally timetabled AI trains running on their own submerged track, it's funny because you can spawn them in on the regular tracks, too.
I guess in real life the boats would always wait for the railway to run its trains first although a bit of randomness would do no harm.
I thought that this bridge will be the main feature of that route and the fact that running some of the timetable services you will be stopped just in front of the bridge because of the bridge being raised due to barge passing under it. Then bridge will be lowered, you will be able to enjoy the animation of the bridge lowering and continue the service.
Thing is if it was decipting real life some randomness would be realistic. Timetable mode is great until you realise real life doesnt work like clockwork. Thats especially true in Germany lately.
