Are you guys able to run God mode on this great route? I have v0.6.4 (TSW4/5/6) on Steam and the top bar just doesn't appear. Works well with Riviera, Leipzig and Morristown though.
Just picked it up. Didn't have a lot of time to play it last night, but it ran fine and I gotta say compared to other routes I really do think the vegetation and details look as good or better than most. The loco sounds and introduction (at least for the 750, haven't tried the 843 yet) were VERY good. Bit pricey for most people and I get it, but definitely something to pick up if you get the chance. It just has a different "feel" to it. Hard to describe. Maybe it's the rural nature of the track or the different assets used for trees and houses, etc... but it doesn't seem like a German or UK route. Some have compared it to Nidder and yes I get that. Single track, small stations, diesels. That's valid. Also though the hills and curves and scattered small houses and shunting runs sort of reminds me of Sand Patch? Gonna have to do more after work tonight, but it is a different experience so far. I haven't run across any suicidal NPCs so far.
Somebody anticipated my wandering about! I hope that they consider developing this area for use in the near future.
Agreed, I also think it's partly due to the new assets, especially the foliage - the problem with the older routes are that they use the same 2 or 3 tree types which makes the routes feel very 'samey'. Congrats to this team for this fantastic effort, showing what can be done with TSW.
I apologise if this has been answered already, but does the 750 have any passenger services? So far I am loving this route, the rolling stock is incredible as is the scenery, and finally, bloody finally we get training scenarios that actually train us on how to operate the rolling stock.
I have to say, regarding price... if ANY route is worth the price, this one is. Not getting into the discussion of "video games are all too expensive"...just saying that if there are ANY routes you'd be willing to part money with, THIS would be the one to do it. There's only a few in that price range to really compare to like Shap and Mitten, but it's slightly better than those, and most other routes are at the $40 level now so it's not like it's that much difference. And you get more value with two very detailed locos and new custom assets.
Not in the the official timetable. And not in the reality for quite some time. But of course, the game is yours to play and you can build a passenger 750+043 consist easily. There is also a fictional ČD skin for n-Wagen already available – should you want some experiments. These cars have not been used in the Czech Republic, I believe, but some similar "older German cars" are still used at some Czech routes.
Thinking of doing the same when I get home. Re-watched the DTG live stream again, and it’s making me want to pick up this route even more now.
Quick question. When selecting the class 750 liveries, the first 3 entries all say green livery with no visible differences. There is a green with yellow strip and it is listed as so but it would be handy to know. This is on PS5.
Skins unchanged, just added logos by JanekK's mod from Train Sim Community. The mentioned n-Wagen skins are from the same place, but I haven't tested them personally. (I'm not sure if I am allowed to past the URL here, but just search for Train Sim Community and you can find it easilly.)
Best DLC in a while for me. Scenery looks beautiful and has lot of unique assets. Sounds are great to listen to and actually feel like being in a train. Locos and rolling stock include so much functionality. A pleasant surprise - Chapeau!

Same, only generally buy UK stuff, but this one looked so good. The level of detail in every aspect is incredible, study level stuff just by going by the tutorials. Coupled with the amazing scenery and sounds, great work.
Progress so far - done the tutorials in the 843 in training centre (not even looked at route yet) and very happy about this BUT I really really really need an English manual. I don't understand what I'm doing tbh, especially the brakes. Still, time to run a service hehe - sucks to be my passengers!
Guide available here: https://shared.fastly.steamstatic.c...fb/Liberec-Stara_Paka_Manual.pdf?t=1773144433 The basic controls (brake/throttle lever) are somewhat similar to DB 612 from Dresden–Chemnitz route. The lever has basic positions S-J-V-EB. S adds power. J is hold throttle or release the breaks. V is hold breaks or release the throttle. EB adds braking power. You start in V position, braked. 1. Move one step forward (J), release brakes. 2. Push all the way forward (S), increasing power. 3. Stop pushing (J), holds current power. 4. One step back (V), zero power. Coasting. 5. Pull back (EB), increase braking. 6. Stop pulling (V), holds current braking. 7. One step forward (J), release brakes. Coasting. 8. To increase power again, go to 2. To start breaking again, go to 5 (via V position). If you are in braking regime (EB = electrodynamic brakes), you may also pull it one more step back to PB (pneumatic brakes) or even one more step back to R (emergency), but these are not used in standard operations.
Have to say, there are some serious gradients on this route. But I'm not finding shunting hill starts as hard as I thought I would with the 750, lights loads and all. The 750s brakes are very effective, not sure how realistic that is.
Watching Tygerway's stream, it looks like this isn't a stay-in-your-cab route, the scenery is that good. Even the roads and highways look pretty, nothing like the disjointed mess in other routes. Will probably be picking this up soon, but the trips are very long so I have some self-convincing to do :')
Thanks what I'm not getting is that it doesn't seem to want to move past EB to PB/R with the keyboard, only if I move with mouse. Although to know you only use the other brakes in normal operations is helpful. The manual also explains an issue I was having with random power loss - apparently it's a faithful simulation of a bug in the unit itself. Indeed in general lots of problems are simulated. I love this although gonna be quite a learning curve especially with the language barrier being a typical british monoglot (more or less)
It is definitely a run where there is ALWAYS something to see, unlike many other routes. There's so much detail modeled and you aren't avoiding areas you go THROUGH them such as villages, industrial areas, etc. All nicely modeled and numerous enough that you keep noticing new things. To me that makes it replayable and it kind of FEELS like a quaint little "local" route even if I've never been to Czechoslovakia. I know that's entirely a personal perspective and some people may feel at "home" on crowded city platforms, but I like the "small town" feel to it that winds through beautiful terrain. The flat crossings for some are problematic, but that's what we have here and I haven't had the issues with traffic or passengers. It sort of gives a "Derail Valley" vibe, despite being much more linear than that. It's also not as slow as WSR, which is also nicely modeled. The ever changing gradients and curves are yet more interaction to drive, which keeps you involved in the drive, not just plowing on at 100 mph on a flat straight line with little to see. Even the fact that it's a single track works to make it more immersive because you have to sometimes wait for traffic coming the other way. The route just feels immersive and "alive" more than virtually any other I can think of.
You can access the PB position from the keyboard if you hold the lever in the EB position (let's assume key [ ' ]) and then quickly release and press and hold the key [ ' ] again before it gets back to V position. (Same procedure to enter R from PB.) It takes some time to get used to the maneuver, but it works quite reliably once you do. But again, I don't think it's intended for everyday braking. It should be similar to Bombardier Talent (ÖBB 4024 on Austrian routes), Talent 2 (DB 442, DB 1442 on German routes) or Stadler Flirt (RABe 522 on Luzern–Sursee route), where you don't use the air brakes in normal operation, even though all of them are (if I remember correctly) equipped with them.
I'm old... Czech Republic now I guess. The 750 was built during the Cold War so it felt appropriate. =-)
Sounds awesome, yeah. I love single tracks, waiting for the other train, makes it feel alive as you say. It looks like Niddertalbahn++, so perhaps TSG have found their match! Which can only be a good thing.
It is a bit like Niddertalbahn. Just more curves, hills and it's far longer. I'd call it more like Mittenwaldbahn if we're relating to TSG routes. It even has an "old fashioned" locomotive, like Mitten had the OBB1020 for that analog feel. Teh 750 even oddly enough has a tap changer sort of control wheel despite being a diesel.
Having had a further play on this, just gets better and better. The shunting scenario alone (I really only play timetable runs, but the shunting scenario intrigued me) is so immersive, those radio calls with the signaller and shunter telling you how far you have to go to couple up is a brilliant idea. That, with vigilance systems going off, tricky grades and braking and all the detailed scenery (new road vehicles as well?) makes for an immersive experience. Sets the bar so far in TSW. Well done!
I am really enjoying this route, and I haven't even driven a train yet. The collectables are challenging to find (I've done 4 passes around Liberec, and I still think I've missed some). I've also explored along some of the branch lines (I failed to get off of the train on one occasion). Full Marks to the Dev Team for all the attention to detail. Have you considered contacting the Czech tourist office to see if they had any advertising posters that could be used on the station advert panels. I think they'd be proud of what you have achieved, and might be supportive. My only wishes are: Move the invisible boundaries further away from the track (e.g. You've done a great job on the turntable at Liberec, why stop us from wandering around?) Based upon a google maps search, it would be great if the Ferona works were modelled in detail and made accessible. Because it looks like there is good potential for freight shunting along that set of sidings.
Did you ever use the DB Br218, same sort of style. The 750 and 218 are the facto top tier diesel locos in the TSW.
This is what made Nidd stand out, the foliage and different tree types including some old matriarchs of the forest instead of the samey middle age trees with the same trunk size everywhere like carbon copies everywhere. Also the water weed and reed beds in the ditches and streams near the mill area were very realistic. Why do we get so many rivers with just plain earthy banks? Rivers aren’t like that they have reeds and bushes overhanging the water, even beds of water lily, why can’t these be added for greater immersion? You wouldn’t dream of having house fronts with no doors or windows. A bare riverbank looks just as bad.
