Hello, I'd like to install Harrogate Loop V2.3 from On-track-simulation and would like to know if the Doncaster Works Route add-on is absolutely necessary. Apart from this add-on, I have all the other required prerequisites. Perhaps someone with experience can tell me. I'd rather not buy a less-than-ideal add-on if I don't need it. What would be missing if I didn't have it? Thank you for your help. Regards, Mario
It's a personal preference, but I rather like the Doncaster Works Route. It has some unique rolling stock (derelict diesels) that you won't find anywhere else and the Class 03 is a decent if plain model. Some of the scenery assets are good too. I particularly like the workshop with the modelled interior, including gantry cranes.
You could download the route from here and install it https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/mods/c1-train-sim-classic/c11-routes/i4452-the-harrogate-loop-v23 When you run the route you might see something missing depending on what items from Doncaster Works were used
I have not installed the route so I do not know which assets the route uses. And I have Doncaster Works so it would not show as missing. You have two options Or install the route as see what is missing.
More than likely will be clutter I would imagine giving Doncaster works is a small route anyway I can’t imagine it being used for anything major in the OTS route.
I like you don't have Doncaster Works and I haven't noticed anything missing on the Harrogate Loop route by OTS.
Hi, I installed the route yesterday and found that nothing seems to be missing. The only thing missing in terms of scenery is the area around Selby, but that was announced. The missing area is supposed to be added eventually. What I still need to figure out is why I'm getting two scenario loading errors between York and Leeds. Otherwise, everything is fine with the route. Thanks again for the great help. Regards, Mario
