With the M8 getting suspension, is it possible that we can see the LIRREX M7 and M9 getting it as well?

Is the Mianus River Railroad Bridge animated, like the bridge on Bremen - Oldenburg?

Can the SW1000R return one day?

Are there any plans to add TSW 6 features to any of the layered trains like the Acela?

I'm genuinely so excited for this route. Since Station/Platform announcements were branded as a core feature of TSW6, I just want to be sure those will be included in the new pack?

Edited to add one more: I’m also wondering if, in the future, there’s any hope of an extension to New Haven (ideally State Street, since a select few services run there iirc)?

Would you'll be considering updating the other surrounding DLCs (Harlem Line, LIRR Commuter, NEC NYC- Trenton and Morristown Line) regarding the lighting, freight services and/ or just better performance optimization now that NEC Metro-North is coming out. And if not now then possibly little later in the future?

    Thanks

    1. Where will Metro North M7A and M3A services terminate at for the Harlem and Hudson line sections of the route?

    2. For the NY-Stamford route, can we eventually expect a surprise of the long awaited diesel equipment (Shoreliner coaches and P32AC-DM & or SC42-DM)? Hopefully this will allow for a Harlem line remaster to eventually arrive or maybe even a debut of the Hudson line later down the line

    3. Will the Metro North M7A and M8 feature passenger announcements

    4. Will the physics be adjusted on the M7A? It was overpowered in the Harlem line route that came out in 2022

    5. Is the famous clock in the center of Grand Central terminal featured? Working elevators and escalators?

    6. Between Melrose and Tremont Stations, is the overpass for Interstate 95 featured. This was missing from the Harlem Line route, but featured in the Hudson Line and New Haven Line TSC routes

    7. With game day services being included, does that mean Yankee Stadium is included in the route? Will Highbridge yard serve as a layover yard/maintenance facility right after Yankees-East 153rd street?

    1. Why is the New Canaan branch not included?

    2. Is there a reason we haven't had an Amtrak-focused route in a while? The Acela is begging for another good long run.

    (1) - This question isn’t a moan so sorry if it comes across this way. More curiosity. Why did you choose to end at Stamford and not New Haven like the TSC version does ??.

    (2) - This question might be a bit early to ask but I’ll ask anyway. Is an Extension up to New Haven a possibility you might consider later down the road if this route sells well ????. It would be a brilliant run for the Acela.

    (3) - Does the lift bridge lift up similar to the one in Bremen Oldenburg ???.

    (4) - Can you show us the city at night time please. ?.

Very looking forward to this route. :)

Since New Canaan is not included, is there a possibility of extending the route to it in the future? I personally think it is quite a shame that it has been missed out.

Are announcements included for the M8 and ACS64? Do they have any train faults?

Does the SD40 have cab signals? If not, how is it driven where these would normally be used? The article seems to indicate that it is driven in cab signal territory.

Will the SD40 be selectable for timetable services in SPG? What about CJP? If not, why not?

Will this route have the "signal delay" feature of TSW6 implemented? If yes, is this just for PC, or also console? If it is not available, why not?

    • Has the Metro North platform PIS system been updated?
    • Was the Park Avenue tunnel redesigned from Harlem Line or re-used?
    • The interlockings in Grand Central's tunnels just before entering the actual train shed is dark, but not as dark as is was in Harlem Line -- the real GCT has a small bit of lighting, not straight-up none. Was it added?
    • How much work went into improving the cityscape along the Park Avenue viaduct?
    • How did you get reference material this time around?
    • The view from the Hell Gate Bridge is epic, and it includes a sweet view of LaGuardia Airport. Are planes coming and going?
    • A bunch of the route runs along Interstate 95, which is often highly congested. Any work put into making roadways most congested (especially at rush hours)? Would make me feel that much better about taking the train :)
    • What's the date of the route? Metro North started construction in 2022 on adding four stations to the Hell Gate line with the goal of running some New Haven service directly into Penn Station. (If the date is prior to that, is there a test run or two in the timetable?)

Given the largely urban nature of this route, would you demonstrate the night lighting? Is there plenty of ambient lighting and lighting from trackside buildings?

Plus I would echo the point above about the line- side I-95 expressway being busy, especially in rush hours. I've driven it a number of times. It's a monster!

General question: Is the reason for expressways in TSW, like I-90 on the Boston to Framingham route and others not being busy a memory issue?

Is the Oak Point Link included? If not, why? It was included in the TSC route, and if the Hudson Line was developed as far as Yankees, it seems like a wasted opportunity to not go the little bit further to High Bridge.

Will the M8 layer onto Harlem?

Will the SD40 be tweaked to reflect the notched snow plows as used on the units that typically operate on Metro-North territory?

Will the AC44CW layer, as they are frequently used on freight ops in this area?

Will there be stone train services (using CSX equipment, rather than P&W) be available to run on the New Haven Line?

Finally, I will repeat the question of why hasn't the New Canaan branch been included?

Would it be possible to create a scenario (if not done already) where you have to use the CSX SD40-2 to help a broken-down Amtrak passenger train? I know the MU-2A Valve works for freight and passenger on the SPG CSX SD40-2 if you're just copying the model for this route.

While it's nice to see the SD40-2 included for freight operations, I am curious as to why the opportunity wasn't taken to instead bring back the GP40-2, with the SD40-2 layering in instead. Now while I know the NEC quite well, I am by far not an expert, especially when it comes to freight, so maybe it makes more sense and I just don't realise, but considering that back in TSW2020 it was released as a DLC specifically for this route's predecessor, it would've been nice to see it make a return.

That said, since it's not included with the route, and I know future DLC opportunities are usually off the table, but I am curious whether there's the possibility of seeing it in the future?

Will the New Haven line get bonus extensions to New Haven, and New Canaan? Secondly, will there be triple the amount of express service it sees on rush hour weekdays?

I understand that the ACS-64 has been updated to provide compatibility with Metro North cab signals, but I wanted to check if this was done prototypically. Is the behavior I have listed below simulated correctly in game?

On the ACS-64 aspect display unit (also on the Acela and Metroliner cab), the behavior is as follows:
    1. The two LEDs on the top right should only be lit when in non-Metro North territory.
    2. The LEDs under the text box (labeled S, R, M, L, 60, 80, N) should only be lit in Metro North territory.
    3. The text in the box aspect should use the Metro North names for aspects when in Metro North Territory (STOP, RESTRICTED, MEDIUM, LIMITED, CAB SPEED 60, CAB SPEED 80, NORMAL), and the NORAC aspect names everywhere else.
    4. The ATC speed limit for RESTRICTED cab in MN territory is 15 mph, not 20 mph as it would be everywhere else.
    5. The ATC speed limit for NORMAL cab in MN territory is 90 mph.

ACSES transponders at territory boundaries automatically determine if the train is in Metro North territory or outside of it. In the context of the NY-Stamford route, this changeover would logically occur at CP216 when an Amtrak train exits or joins MN territory. [IMG]

Will we be seeing either or both the CSX GP40 or the Amtrak SW1000R from TSW2020 return as future locomotive DLC for the route.

Given that there will indeed be freight services on this route, I feel that it was a missed opportunity to utilize the GP40 instead of re-hashing another SD40-2. I also feel like with the addition of Sunnyside services, the SW1000R would be a great opportunity to bring it back and utilize it for this route along with either BPE or NYT (even if it is out of place in the time period Stamford is set in).

The SD40 is regular power on this route, so it's the logical choice for freight ops.

I have a couple of questions

    1. I’ve seen from one of the screenshots that one of the screenshots from the M8 says New Haven is that indicating the New Haven line extension is coming in the near future.

    2. will the P32AC-DM and shoreliner cab cars will be added in the future as well.

    3. when will we see the Hudson line and a Harlem line extension to southeast or wassaic.

    Do overhead structures have reverb?

Now the Czech route builders have demonstrated the opposite rumble/clatter over bridges and viaducts is possible has this been placed along the route?

Also as demonstrated by the Czech’s, has night lighting been improved in the cities or are we still at MSTS level of illumination in the dark?

Have all scenarios and timetable elements in Journey Mode been fully tested that they are playable and can be completed?

Have stations been thoroughly vetted to ensure no passengers spill on to or cross the track?

Any chance of a pre release purchase discount on this one?

Is this another US route where we spend 5 minutes crawling in and out of the terminus at 10 MPH?

Just hope that the east river tunnel graphic glitch from Morristown hasn’t benn copied over. I’d say that was a basic expectation but then so was thinking it would be fixed on Morristown and i was clearly setting my expectations too high for dtg

    Do you fix Penn platforms?

Why is there ballast on bridges where in reality there is none? Just why? You can create bridges without ballast. At least you create one near Long Beach. I don't care if you use the same track on all these bridges, the main thing is that it will be without ballast.

CT Rail trains in Stamford - unbranded or none at all?

ACS-64 - any improvements except suspension?

Any improvements for M3a, M7a and Acela?

    A couple more general questions…

Why another NE route and, licensing issues aside, why not something from an area we haven’t seen yet such as Florida or the mid-West? Or a run up into the Rockies from Denver to Granby?

Given the large number of NE routes already in the game and that I, at any rate, found the Morristown Line a bit boring and underwhelming, what is the LAMPOIL factor to persuade me to part with Day One money for this?

Why the sudden glut of releases in March anyway? In short order, we have had the 171 pack, the Czech route, the DB 145, this route and it looks like Medway Valley coming soon plus the Sodor game. Do you not think you have somewhat oversaturated an already saturated market for add on content?

    Good luck❗️
I'm on a PS5 and I can't pull into penn station on any of my routes LIRR (Both versions), Trenton, Morristown because I guess once you own all of the routes that pull into Penn Station it essentially breaks the game and makes it error out. I am so aggravated with all this that I have actually spoke to one of my attorneys and have actually thought about starting a class action lawsuit given the fact that I've spent well over $500 on this game.

Will there be any express services using the M8 between GCT and Stamford on the timetable or just local services that make every stop on the line?

Yes, during the peak hours and off peak hours, New Haven trains only stop at Harlem 125 and Stamford before going local to New Haven

So your going to spend 10s of thousands of dollars over $500.

    Have fun with that.

Will the timetable reflect the busy tempo of 125th St station, unlike the sleepiness of the Harlem Line version?

How are Woodlawn, Williams Bridge and Botanical Garden stations on the Harlem Line portion of the route handled? The stations are currently undergoing reconstruction to be extended and modernized. The Southbound local track at these stations is covered by temporary platforms with Harlem Line Trains having to use/stop on the Southbound express track.

Are there any potential future plans regarding a potential remaster or extension of the Harlem Line, since this route is essentially remaking the Harlem Line south of Mount Vernon West? GCT to Woodlawn is like half the route redone already.

That shouldn’t be the case. On my XBox Series S and X as well as my brother’s PS5, we have no issues getting into Penn outside of some choppiness on XBSS/PS5. I know it’s a loaded set of timetables but it should still work on your PS5.

I’ll have specific numbers throughout the day of amount of trains passing through Harlem 125st. I can tell you that Stamford has the most amount of trains operating at one time than any other DLC in TSW. Yes it beats out BML :)

Will services that are usually served by push pulls be substituted by M8's or will those specific services be excluded for now?

When will the upgraded ACS-64 & Amfleet vehicles arrive on old routes? Why can't the new, improved version of the locomotive be immediately integrated into the old routes where it's used?

When will the Acela receive the new suspension feature, and will it be supported on all NEC routes?

If I recall correctly, a previous article stated the M8 can only be driven with safety systems activated, much like LIRR2. Does this enforcement also apply to the Amtrak trains, or can those be driven without safety systems activated?

We’ll go overT numbers tomorrow. I can tell you I have both Xbox X and PC.that’s all I can say.
amtrak is not affected . But I don’t suggest driving any trains in the nec without safety systems on :)

Has always worked fine for me on Boston-Providence and NY-Trenton. I'd like to be able to do the same on NY-Stamford.

EDIT: I mean, I can see the in-cab speed restrictions, it's just they aren't enforced. I can overspeed. Just want to check if it works the same in NY-Stamford.

Not sure why some players are unhappy about driving with mandatory safety system on by default, providing they're reliably installed.

This is how it is in reality and I, for one, would not want it any other way. No one seems to object to European systems like PZB/LZB.

Actually, I wish DTG would implement PTC on North American routes, which is now universal for Class Ones.

I have to agree. I wish I knew about safety systems when I first started playing TSW. I wouldn’t have waisted six months of driving incorrectly and had to relearn the correct way . I initially didn’t even know safety systems were deactivated and that you manually had to turned them on. I assumed it was all on :)
