Hello I am really looking forward to the br420 and the 147, I also like the new br 145 but I wait for sale on that one. But about those 2 upcoming dlc's, will they require the route they are based on? I hope that won't be the case, since I would just like to play this trains in free roam and maybe something else...

For the 420 i want to try to not tie it to a specific route since this DLC will come with timetables for 3 routes. But i have no clue yet if that works out. Maybe it will need the Frankfurt SBahn as the home route.

The 420 is a "loco" DLC, and since TSW3 loco DLCs work independently without any route required. Most of them are still home to a certain route as that has the most scenarios and timetable services with that train, but you do not need any route to be able to use the purchased train at all.
