Because people keep buying the DLC. DTG will keep raising the price till they hit the point where sales degrade.

Can someone confirm that Brandon was involved in signaling from start to finish on this route? I know he was working on it as it was disclosed few months ago but a lot has happened since then…

(I can’t praise enough his signaling work on morristown and how good it is, and I expect the same for this route.)

A lengthy freight run to deliver flour and produce would be reason enough to include the short sidings that go there I would think.

If they own up to rivet being involved they know sales will drop.

Yes, the involvement of Brandon and Tyler are two good reasons to buy the route. But that $53+ price tag..........

Okay. But was it made from scratch?
What I'm saying is that if the route had been built on the Harlem Line, they could have left it intact and kept the section to North White Plains. Even with the old scenery.

This may be the wrong place, but while I’ve enjoyed it in my short time so far, where do we report bugs? Ran into a few small ones with signage for a few signs in the lower level at GCT showing up really dark (almost black). Was hoping to report these somewhere and while this was for the livestream, was hoping someone could help direct me to the right place. Thanks!

There's a feedback thread in the forum. Plus the big blue whatever at the bottom of the page. Plus the usual bug report channel.

It seems some functionality has been added to have lots of people exiting the Yankee's Stadium when a match finishes.
Can you show it to us please?

Is it possible to have the signal speed in the HUD?

Will route hopping become available for either LIRR route out of Penn? Right now I see NEC and Morristown (understandably because of the Amtrak layers), but would be great to also have connection with LIRR. Probably wouldn’t work from the mind of a train conductor or engineer, but would be cool to have as either for running the train or as an “finished my long run, taking this train back home” to LI.

Pretty sure pan-up is "P". Not sure if the mode-change switch has a keybind.

Yes, the route includes the SD40-2 with the trash cars. Several other freight cars have been moved to core, so no additional DLC required for the freight. The special Amtrak freight move does require horseshoe curve.

Is ACSES working as intended on the M8? On every other ACSES-equipped train you can release the brakes when you're under the speed limit. You shouldn't automatically get an emergency brake application on every speed reduction curve.

This is a bug that we have reported. Ideally, it should only be unrecoverable if you dont acknowledge the alarm first. Otherwise it should be recoverable, like how you describe.

My advice would be to anticipate speed changes and brake in advance. If you encounter an ACSES alarm, quickly move the master controller into the braking range and acknowledge the alarm. There is a small buffer between the alert curve (the alarm) and the penalty curve (the penalty brake).

will it show like on M7 or M9 that ... forestall indicator?

cos I managed to get non recoverable penalty going from 45 to 30 despite going into like 70% braking and tapping acknowledge repeatedly since it didnt stop beeping

To minimize the likelihood of the brake penalty bug from occurring, I use the HUD to gauge the next signals behavior and it it's yellow, I know I should be preparing ahead of time to operate at the next in-cab signal aspect. E.g., if I am in a territory where the max allowable track speed is 70mph, but a yellow signal about half a mile away appears on the HUD, I prepare to slow down to 45mph ahead of time followed by an acknowledge of the signal/speed change once I reach the transponder on the track. Similarly, if another yellow signal appears on the HUD, I slow down to 30mph ahead by the time I reach that signal. It's interesting though, because the behavior of the M7A/M3A is not quite the same in game, albeit very similar. Hopefully a patch can fix the ATC penalty bug because even after acknowledging the signal reduction within the 8 second limit, the train should not be going into a full emergency brake whilst acknowledged. While there are steps that can be taken to comfortably operate the M8, this emergency brake penalty needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

so far I got one unrecoverable penalty, but don't remember which system it was... I did start braking, according to speed I think with enough force, and I just remember sometimes it takes a couple taps of acknowledge button to register, it seems

so according to many ppl here, I guess it wasn't just in my head when I thought hang on, LIRR 2.0 nor Harlem line had the safety this itchy and snappy... I hope they fix it
