Hello everyone, This is the official Q&A thread for the upcoming BR Class 90 from Alan Thomson Simulations. Please only use this thread for questions and not discussions. The preview stream is taking place tonight (Monday 23rd March) at 7pm UTC on YouTube/Twitch Maybe one of your questions has already been answered in our previous article! BR Class 90 Coming Soon Article
why no layer onto other routes? b2c has the 170 pack etc, MAC has the tfw stock, there’s no reason an agreement couldn’t have been reached for this
Has this been built to a better quality of finish than the TSC Class 745 which came in for a lot of criticism? I have already read comments that the sounds aren’t that great both traction and running. Any plans to buff these post release? Share concerns about the limited services these will have on WCMLS. Why not go the extra mile and do a BR Inter City livery version which, with a bit of licence and admittedly without a DVT, could have subbed in for the 86 or 87 on WCML Shap?
Could an agreement be reached between ATS and AABS to get this loco on Trent Valley when it releases? I fear the value of the loco will go down if it's not supported in other routes and it'll get boring driving it on only WCML South.
They have the plan to but the current update that’s been in the works for months has been in qa hell and until that update comes out they can’t add anything or they have to go re through the qa process
It’s still something that needs answering. This is far from the first time a third party product update has been held back by DTG. They need to step up and A) explain to us why they hold the updates back so long & B) stop doing it.
Can you please confirm if the Class 807 IS or IS NOT layering into this timetable please. In the preview on ATS' twitch the layers menu had a greyed out selection for the Trent Valley stock and i know Alan and All Aboard have both said it wouldnt, but its showing as having a layer there? Will the Class 90 be available as a substitution for Class 66 services running under the wires, on any routes? The Class 90 has been confirmed by ATS as being available on the MAC with a post release patch/update, is this going to be delayed as long as the ScotRail Class 158 was for the Fife Circle or will this actually be made available inside a reasonable amount of time? Many things have been promised to be coming in post release patches or updates and either end up being delayed just over a year like the SR 158, never end up coming like the suspension updates for various trains or just kept being promised and then hidden behind another paywall (and then STILL dont materialise) like the SR 170 sounds.
