Well, how do you save then? I don’t always want or have time to do a full run. I Spaded on the introduction When you reverse to pick up the coaches, it tells you to hold down the left button to change to reverse. However, it fails to tell you to change back to forward when you are at the station and I forgot and reversed past the red signal.
Answers the question I asked in another thread. Odd decision as even with short runs always the chance you might need to suddenly come off. And that’s before we get into the bane of TSW, not being able to load a save reliably on a chained run.
Yes. Granted there aren't many LONG runs in Sodor (yet?) But even in a 45 minute run something can come up halfway through.
Don't know which platform you're playing the game on, but on PC there are checkpoints in Story and Timetable mode.
Technically yes and no. The point was there's no choice. You can't CHOOSE when to save or CHOOSE which checkpoint... it's just the one last checkpoint. That matters because if (like in a case I had the other night) there was a game glitch where signals didn't change until moments before getting to it and there was no time to stop so the train SPAD. The one checkpoint was literally 3 seconds before the SPAD point respawned at speed. So there's no chance to change anything.... hence no use to save. A save button to choose to use or multiple checkpoints to choose well before that would have been useful. An arbitrary point that locked it in a perpetual error loop was NOT helpful at all.
