Just tried it over Shap (as planned)... I could maintain a steady 105mph (full throttle) with a load of 12 Mk3s.

I think they did a good job with Simugraph, because its operation matches what I've read, ie it accelerates a little less strongly than the 87 at low speeds, but it's more powerful and you can feel it at high speeds.

 

You get that instant power as well, no slowly tapping up like in the 87.

 

To be fair though with the 87 and what not, you can feel it go with run up

 

Got to admit that InterCity Class 90 & Mk3 rake do look rather tasty!

 

If that was 105mph at Shap summit then the loco appears to be over powered by some margin! Either that or the physics of the Mk3s are wrong.

 

That's quite possible, unfortunately.
But as far as the physics are concerned, it's definitely better than what it was in TSC anyway...
