Some bugs I've also found in the NV variant of the 145:
When tripped, 46F01 and 32F66 do not produce a fault message!

EDIT: Sifa Steuerkreis and Hilfsluftpresser both have the same code number - 43F31.

I am wondering about at least two services on the Dresden Leipzig timetable, 45381 and 47359. In both cases, we have a Wagon Train Weight greater than 1600t. However, the Bremszettel initially gives us a Lange Lok setup, which is also reflected on the Wagenliste. So, we can click to change the R/P timetable to G, and the Wagenliste automatically updates, which is nice. However, I was thinking that the Bremszettel is supposed to be correct when you start the service? This is what is implied by both the manual and the preview video. Has anyone driven a G timetable service where the Bremszettel correctly starts in G?

On the subject of Bremsart input for the ZDE I am also confused. So we have in the manual that this must align with the locomotive's brake mode (p. 51). On the preview video it is stated that you must use BRA 2 if there are "any G wagons" in your consist, and they also say that you must use BRA 2 "for freight." So, right away we have a conflict. We also have in this thread that you must use BRA 4 if you want PZB M, or in other words use 4 for BRA always unless you have a G/G train in which case you should use BRA 2 for PZB U. I had always thought that you make your inputs into the ZDE and then PZB is "calculated" for you and may or may not be U or M depending on different factors (excepting of course G/G which is always PZB U), which is the point of having a computer in the first place. So, if you have to make up your mind about all of this ahead of time, and then tell the computer what to do, then what is the computer even for? This is essentially no different from what I was doing previously by calculating what PZB setting to use and then just flipping a switch on the cab wall, even though we know that these switches for the most part do not actually exist in the real world. Having the Bremszettel in front of us does of course make this task easier though.

    Two more questions:

Why is it necessary to have the ability on the Bremszettel to cycle between different timetable speeds? How would I know if the timetable speed at the bottom hasn't initialized correctly? And, how would I know which speed to choose, if in fact the Bremszettel hasn't initialized correctly?

Also, if I have overheated the brakes and they get stuck, but I was able to cut out the wagon and release the brakes using the release valve, is the protocol to wait until the brake has cooled and continue, or to leave the wagon cut out and continue while the brakes are still "warm" but are released? If the brakes do cool off so they are no longer warm, should the wagon be cut "back in" to the consist or is it standard just to leave it cut out until it can be removed from the consist?

I am enjoying this DLC immensely. If anyone can offer some further insight into these details it will be very much appreciated.

You are allowed to configure trains heavier then 1600t as LL as well, as long as you dont have any waggons in your consist that weigh less then 32t. Even trains heavier then 2500t (up to 4000t) can be run in LL as long as every vehicle is heavier then 40t. Here a summary of the associated RiL I have made a long time ago (got a similar version of someone who was training to become a train driver at the time:
    upload_2026-3-30_16-37-53.png

This is a bug in the manual and will be corrected with the next iteration (as far as I know). In fact, you can see this above in my spreadsheet (top line), your timetable is still a P/R timetable (ZDE: 4) with config LL. The reason why you select G for the front of the train is simply to limit stress between the couplings while braking. As far as I know, other countries dont even have this requirement.

I am not sure I fully understand your question right, however, in line 6 of the Bremszettel you can see the how many BrH are missing in order to drive the route you are on. In case there is a number in line 6 you need to cycle the max speed, until you know what speed you can legally do. This has to do with gradients on your route (As far as I understood this, TSG went as far to actually use actual gradient data per different route in TSW, hence, his number should be somehow corrolating to your route). IRL this is handled usually through the timetable the driver gets, which will reduce the speed only in cerain areas, however, I have not seen TSG really explain this in much detail, so I could be interpreting this wrong as well. Maybe William can explain this in more depth, also in what way this will be adapted on the Bremszettel in the future, as I believe that this will be changed, slightly, with the next patch...

As I am not a real driver I can only give you how I know (or believe to know) the rl proceedures. Once a brake is overheated you need to cut it out permantly, as it is considered broken. You do not need to wait until it is cooled down, as it will not make a difference to the brake anyway (if there is no fire, of course). If at all, you will actually cool it quicker when driving, as convection is higher...

This is all great information. I am going to print that spreadsheet and make a lot of use out of it. Thanks very much indeed.

During setting up the ZDE, prompt tells me to type in 4 08 50 10, however it's not possible to type the last '0' and the objective marker points at '2' as well. Typing 4 08 50 12 completes the task and lets me continue. So prompt text should be fixed :)

Right there with you. I wasn't around for the lead-up to release - too busy with the real thing ;) - but I bought it as soon as I saw it on the PS store and I'm most impressed. The simulation of the loco is one thing (and impressive enough as is) but it's everything else that impresses me so.

    • The Wagenliste
    • The Bremszettel
    • The realistic coupling (finally!)
    • ...
One thing I'd like to highlight that I'm not sure people pay much/any attention to without real life experience is the radio. I love that it's simulated as best as possible in the game. You can call the people you need to, some give you voice-acted responses that are generic, of course, but still make it feel more alive.

I do have one nitpick about the radio though. When you call the signaller during shunting, you often get a voice acted response giving you verbal permisson to drive with special authority (loosely translated - Fahren mit besonderem Auftrag for those in the know). That doesn't really make any sense for shunting (and for trains verbal permission is only allowed when there's a Zs 12). It grinds my gears after a while when I use the radio during shunting :)

To be fair, it also has some serious omissions for a 36 euro product, and the fact that they will (perhaps) be fixed with a patch isn't exactly a plus.
It would be more honorable to immediately present a "complete" product, but the only thing that is "complete" is, of course, the price.
After that, everyone has their own priorities and tastes.

I have made a thread to describe workarounds for existing bugs as well as the status of bug fixing here
Please keep bug reports to this thread (I will continue reading it) :)

dal#7945 Can you open up the EBuLa "St" page and ensure that the Sifa Pedal Behaviour setting is not set to "Realistic" and then press the B key and check below the seat that the pedal is moving? I asked console beta testers and they responded that they have not had any issues with acknowledging safety systems using gamepads so I'm not really sure what is causing your issues.

Thanks for the kind words :)
I have some ideas regarding the call behaviour but I need to talk with Fabian since he's responsible for the GSM-R (and he might have better ideas of his own :D ).

Done exactly what you said and pressed B button and pedal did not move i plugged in a keyboard and pressed q and the pedal moved. Thats settings played for about a mile and sifa was going off like every 5 seconds. I play with expert mode switched off but I still use safety system by setting them up manually. Im guessing the train data is already showing so you just copy the numbers. That are on the zde screen and on the smaller screen just the job number the relevant buttons.

I won't be able to test your issue immediately but my suspicion is that you haven't fully enabled all the safety systems which causes the console logic to not work (it checks if the safety system is actually enabled so that it doesn't acknowledge both Sifa and PZB at the same time but rather the relevant system only - that is intentional).

First enable Expert Mode in the settings and then spawn into a service or a BR 145 in free roam. Let me know if the gamepad works in that case. If it does rerun the tutorial for enabling safety systems and ensure that you are following all the steps in there.

Alternatively you can simply keep Expert Mode enabled and just disable the Fault Simulation, that might be quicker if you want to keep safety systems enabled.

I can confirm the sudden power loss at 80Kmh, albeit, I was using AFB. I have experienced this only in the NV variant and I have spend much more time on the freight variants (never seen this behaviour there). However, I believe I have also used the NV variant on freight services before and never saw this behaviour there either. I would estimate that in about 40% the acceleration stopped at 80Kmh. I had to fully pull back the power, wait for approx 10sek before applying power again. After that acceleration beyond 80Kmh was possible.

No, that is the default data. The correct data will depend on the train you are driving, but it is all available if you use the Bremszettel paper and the conversion table behind the drivers seat. BRA = 2 if all the wagons are in G (as seen on the Wagenliste), otherwise 4 if a freight train or 9 if locos only or passenger train. I would highly suggest checking the manual section on the ZDE because it will tell you exactly what to do (with the only issue being a mistake in the section for BRA, ignore that part and use the description above in this comment).

I would also highly recommend going through the training modules and playing some scenarios because these will tell you what to do and repetition is the mother of learning or however the saying goes ;)

Check the brake cylinder pressure next time this happens, it probably reached 0.2 bar. I'm not quite sure why it happened (I'm tempted to blame the Dosto coaches since, afaik, it doesn't happen on the NV loco with freight wagons) but I have fixed it for the upcoming patch.
The easiest workaround until the patch is just to overcharge the brake pipe to ~ 5.2 bar if that ever happens.

I would have to say you are having a very strange problem. On Series X the B button works as expected for me. I have also tried this on "non-expert" mode and the B button still works. And, others on Series X have also reported that the B button works. Perhaps you could try uninstalling and reinstalling the DLC, although I don't see how that could be the problem. I assume you have independently verified that your B button works at all?

The B button works just fine on any other loco. I so stumped as what is going on with this.

That's really weird. Are you using Steam input to rebind controls by any chance? Any mods active?
