What are you actually suggesting here? You must realise Doncaster to York is only 20 minutes of pretty much nothing but field. Then you say about Plymouth and Leeds?? I hate to say this, but it's threads like this one that make me think the suggestions forum needs to be put under moderator approval for all new threads before they can be seen. Why you take the time to explain why the current ECML Peterborough to Doncaster route should be extended up to York, (similar to how Dresden to Riesa got extended to Leipzig), or make (an actually detailed) suggestion for a route going north from Doncaster via York to say, Darlington. Perhaps even a triangular route connecting the three of York, Leeds and Doncaster
