843 driving style takes some time to get used to (both throttle/braking and accelerating, so you dont trip the throttle etc), but otherwise awesome... havent done any 750 runs yet, but might try later... hopefully in future we get the passenger versions of it

I'll agree with what razmatus#2517 and the others have written :)
The route itself is great, especially in terms of scenery and feeling! The timetable is varied, most services are rather long (about 1,5 hours). It doesn't feel long though, it's one of those routes where the services feel much shorter than they actually are. ;)
And there's a good amount of freight and shunting going on, which is always a plus for me.

The vehicles are equally well made, challenging to learn to drive properly at first, with an almost Expert level of simulation. But once you get the basics down, it's a lot of fun! The 843 has worked its way into my heart, while the 750 isn't that much my cup of tea. Funny... before buying, I was sure it would be the other way around.

There are a couple of bugs and issues, but nothing too severe. It's not as riddled with issues as most other recent releases (just my personal impression).
    I recommend it

for me the hardest wasnt the throttle system itself, as I figured it is quite similar to BR 612, but the fact you cant slam it to 100% right away, or slam it too much, otherwise you trip the throttle and you have to add it back again... the vigilance is annoying, but then, at least that compensates for the fact we dont get full safety system enforcement as this is a single track local route (tho I am sure if we hopefully get more Czech routes, we also get more safety stuff then)

I haven't made a single trip without using cruise control. :|

I did my first two runs without it, had a bunch of trouble, figured out how cruise control works on this one and never stopped using it since then :D
It's even quite useful and comfortable for shunting, in contrast to German AFB :)

Exactly this. Like with Mittenwaldbahn, you get sucked into it and forget time :)

The only real complaint is that I don't understand why there needs to be a winter mode. At first glance, it's no different from the regular mode.

Yes indeed. Another route which does this for me is Frankfurt-Fulda, don't know why :D

Haven't tried it yet, but I could imagine the acceleration and braking curves being different, to better cope with slippery or icy tracks.

Me too! With my improvised driving equipment (aka arcade joystick), it feels pretty cool on this route, because the mechanism is similar. The cruise control takes all the fun out of it! :D

I cannot stretch this enough: Vector Simulations, you did a fantastic job on this route - all the little "to be patched" things aside.

If I remember correctly, the winter mode applies the brakes from time to time for a short time to keep them warm. :)

I tried one winter run so far, and the traction is no different. I manually lowered the traction limit to 60% to avoid wheel spin.
It's not so easy to switch to pneumatic mode on the Xbox gamepad. But I got the hang of it and I manage to keep my wheels from locking in the winter so I don’t feel like a cow on the ice.
Indeed, it seems so. Judging by the sound of the air, they periodically trigger on their own.
