I'm already having plenty of issues with this DLC on PC, I did post a thread but cant seem to find it! Im on PC Steam, I hardly get any power, and when I do get power (and I do follow all protocols to release breaks, AWS/DSD etc) the train randomly breaks for 1/2 seconds even with max power. Some times the train doesnt even move at all!!

I didn't even see that as "Xbox One X" and read it as "Xbox Series X" whoopsies.. indeedy if it IS a one and not a series then ot won't work at all and my advice was pointless lol. (Don't read messages at 4am) Lol

I can never remember the name of it! It's the Gen 9 one.

Microsoft and their silly naming conventions. 8th gen was One, One S and One X. 9th gen is Series S and Series X
no stress, you're golden and it WILL work if you dont turn on the AWS or DSD :)

DTG would have been running QA on this, and likely implementing the UI and scenario text, ATS just developed the loco.

does it really matter who made a spelling or gramatical mistake, either DTG or ATS, when you cant even use the PS controller for the safety systems... wtf cares if theres a missing comma or some such..

I really don’t think it matters who gets the ‘blame’ either. ATS make the thing, get the most of the cut for it & it’s their reputation. If I’m in their shoes then I’m checking the product is good to go, not leaving on the basis of ‘DTG said so’. It’s a card that keeps being played by every third party & you can be damn sure they’ll get a rocket up DTG’s backside when they start dipping sales.

It doesn't matter who, but grammatical errors do matter. No, they're not game-affecting like the issue you mention, but they make the game look unprofessional.

You're right, and I apologise if I was rude. I can't really judge especially when you rely on autocorrect for a great deal

With regret, refund requested. Only had it 5 mins but that was enough for me to realise this isn’t fit for purpose (yet).

AWS/DSD issues. I don’t think the behaviour of the loco is right either. Seemed to accelerate very fast with a load of containers.

I don’t think ATS is to blame, I’m sure given the chance they’d not have released this in its current inferior state. Dovetail again seem to my mind to be the root of the problem.

Am afraid though there’s no way I can justify that purchase and I’ve asked for a refund.

    Thanks!

This was fire damaged in 2004 from the looks of it, which means there was never any intention of modelling the engine room.

I heard this was a disaster of a launch. LMAO DTG is a joke of a company. Glad I didn't buy at launch

I think that’s the important thing for us all to remember, this is the fault of DTG. I am confident that ATS would rather not have released something this unfinished and would like to release a patch asap. I’m afraid that DTG as with everything is the problem.

Clearly you haven't seen the YouTube video ATS put out on the release day

I haven’t. Can you give me the highlights? I try and avoid YouTube because of all the ads.

He was moderately contrite in regard to the things that slipped on their side of things and that both fixes are planned and lessons learned. Take that as you wish, but my personal view is shouldn’t these lessons have already been learned from the MAC release and prior to that the sorry saga of the very expensive and allegedly very poor quality Class 745 Flirt for TSC?

As I’ve been led to believe DTG won’t be flexible with release dates, so no matter what state something is in it gets released on release date.

That's factually not true, the DB BR 147 was postponed at the last minute just this past week, first on console then on PC too.

In this case, you're right. However, I think we all recognize that dlc are routinely released when they turn out perhaps not quite ready for prime time.

Indeed, personally I would always prefer something be delayed until it's ready than released with issues. But maybe I'm just less impatient than some others.

I'm afraid what DTG say and what is the truth is for the most a billion miles apart....

Internally dates are flexible, but only within a window.

Third Party Developers submit DLC when THEY are ready, not when DTG says ""give it to us NOW!!!""

I have to say, I really am not in favor of the recent trend in putting DLC trains in a new separate timetable rather than the main one. It makes them near useless as AI adding life to the original route

I agree. I'd much prefer they were integrated and we have just the one timetable. Wasn't this the way of things in the early days of TSW?
